Xat 2006 Notification !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi
i m not sure whether should i appear 4 xat or not coz my english is not good nor i am good at g.k. please suggest me sth. imy cat prep is also not good pls help me

Still there is ample time to prepare. English can be improved in a period of 3 months. Further, there is no GK in XAT this year as confirmed by the admissions office here in XLRI. Paper will be on the pattern of the sample paper issued with the brochure.

If u have any more queries, please post them on the XAT XLRI Queries thread started by one of my classmates, Saurabh Nigam. It would be easier for us to respond to ur queries on one single thread. Hey mate just a query now the sample paper u r talkin about is it those 20 odd questions at the end of XAT bulletin or they gave a whole Mock kindda paper(?)

Nothing is given separately. I am talking about the few questions given in XAT brochure itself to give u an idea of type of questions.

i have head frm some where that u can apply only to PMIR or BM is it true, cant we apply for both?

Yes thats true. In XLRI u have to choose between BM and PMIR at the time of applying itself and u can't apply for both the programs.

Also no HR specialization is offered under BM program.

We have been trying to answer each and every query of yours to your satisfaction and we don't want anyone's genuine and relevant query to be left unanswered.
It becomes really difficult to visit multiple threads and search for the posts having queries. Time is a big constraint in a B School. Though we'll not refuse to answer the query just because it was not on the specified thread but inadvertently we might not come across ur query(in some other thread) at all which would result in delayed response or no response at all.

hi pagals..

this is getting very very confusing..
i wanna apply for XLRI (BM), XIMB and S P Jain.

What all Prospectus/ Forms need to be bought and filled in?
How much is the cost?

If I am buying XAT Prospectus the I cannot apply for XLRI ( need confirmation)?
Can I Just but XLRI Prospectus and not XAT Brochure?

If i apply successfully for XLRi can I choose both BM and GMp ( 1 yr) programmes
or i have to select it upfront.

If I buy XAT brochure then how many colleges can I apply
viz. XIMB, Wellingkars etc. etc.
Do I need to pay for each of them separately?

I think XIMB n XLRi can b covered in 1500 bucks ( XAT Brochure + XLRI Prospectus)

SP Jain is another 900/-

Sorry for flooding the post with questions and answers but if some pagal can sort out the issues it will solve many queries of the thread.

Plz Plz Plz also add what care needs to be taken while filling the form.

It will be tough to open Form in one window and then look for the details on this thread individually..

I have some solutions for ur doubt..

To apply to XIMB and XLRI:-
U need to pay 2300 bucks- 700 for XAT exam, 800 for XLRI, 800 XIMB. To apply other colleges which accept XAT score u need to apply to them separately. U can apply for only one program XLRI. U can not apply to multiple programs.

SP Jain will accept both CAT and XAT score. U can exercise ur option there as to which score u want them consider.

XAT form filling has already been discussed in this thread. For sp jain, there is a thread which u can look into.

Does that mean that in 700 bucks I can only appear in exam and then for each institute i hv to lighten my wallet...
I heard that BP and PMIR cannot be opted for together.
Is it true for BM and GMP also? Can some XLite solve this plz ?
