Hey Adi, thanx a lot for all the info that u have provided so far......

Here are a few things that i think most of us wud like to know.

1. With what kind of companies do e-biz students get placed? I mean does it mostly depends on the specialization that one goes for. Can u give me a few names of the companies.
2. What position/designation do the guyz hold in such companies?
3. For someone like me who is a B.E. with 1.5 yr exp in IT and is planning to take up markting/HR for specialization what will be my job profile and wat kinda company will i get into?
4. Can u also throw some light on the educational loan that we can opt for?

Hi guys..

HAve been watching this thread since a very long time and have been a silent spectator. This thread has been of very big help ever since I knew that I had got selected for the E-BIZZ course...

The other day, I met up with Sumit, Jay,Naveen and Adi and it was fun to know each other and also abt the course.

Adi has been of immense help and has been like a Godfather helping us out in our queries and doubts.

Keep up the good work Adi..

And guys those who are sceptical abt joining the course, dont worry too much, the course is extremely well planned and has been invented to meet the needs of the Industry.

And the best part is, the college has been growing both in SIZE and BRAND name...

So ALL THE BEST,,, and decide to JOIN the best...

thanks a lot for all the helpful info u provided 2 us wen v visited the clg yday! aslo thanks for taking us for a guided tour of the college! i have more or less decided abt taking up da course but..... would like 2 know something more!
yday u did mention abt 7 to 8 names frm ur class who had got good placements. but i wld b thankful 2 you if you can post a list on this post of at least arnd 30 students frm PGP E BIZ frm ur class who have ben placed, along with their names, the companies that they have got into and if possible, the sort of job profile, in brief! i am asking for arnd 30 names, coz for a class strenght of 60 at lst 30 examples wld b enuf 2 come 2 a conclusion!

i hope u dont mind, coz U R HELPING EACH 1 OF US TAKE A VERY IMPORTANT DECISION OF OUR LIVES!!! and that is a very important, responsible and a noble cause!!!

yesterday was my cet gd pi
gd went so well but pi went so bad that in both the cases i cannot explain u my experience
but i have got through welingkar's pgpebiz prog mumbai campus
but yaar i am not from the technical background
i did MA eco and have a work ex of accounts executive in a company that's it now that the course structure of pgpebiz is more than pgdbm and its technical what suld i do
please suggest sumthing
never did computer course as well in my life

For a list of companies that hv recruited ebiz ppl, take a look at the ebiz document that i had uploaded to this thread a couple of days back. Cos normally ask only for specific specialization(s). Although the course is aimed at tech. cos. u can very well get into a non-tech. co. And also by tech. I do not mean IT cos.

What co u get into and what profile u will have depends on u and the co. for all u know u can do rural sales for HLL with a package of 1.3L p.a. or for that matter as CEO of GE worldwide. Although the college and ur profile will advise u not to take up this profile, if u want take it up and no one will stop u.

Cos normally come with multiple profiles and if u are interested u can apply. This is like saying in theory u are eligible to apply to n e of the ads that appear in the newspapers for recruitment(supposing u did not apply to a b-school), it doesnt mean u apply to all of them. u will only apply to places whr the profile matches what u want. It is the same here. Remember the final placement that u get depends on u, the college can only help.

W.r.t educational loan, ask any financial institution and get to know their requirements, If n e thing is required from college, just submit an application and u will get it. Normally they will require a letter from college tht u hv been admitted to the course. This will be given easily.

To answer sumit's query, first my class is only 30. Its only from my juniors tht the number has increased to 60. Cos that hv recruited ebiz ppl this year.
