NIT trichy results!!

dear rx100rules,

i too got thru nit..my name is 2nd in list of other state general category list...ie AVISEK GHOSH...
now coming to ur question that whether you will join nit this year or sit for cat nxt year...it is very difficult to answer upon bcoz i donot know what priority u hav now..i don't know whether u r a fresher (which yr)or workin?
do you hav to join any mba course this year only?
as far as i remember u told that u ranked arnd 400-500 in jmet..this mean u r very good in studies...therefore personally i don't think that nitt is a place for u..u certainly deserve better...i personally know 2 guys last year who with 95+ percentiles in cat opted for SDM-IMD, MYSORE, bcoz they hav to take admission somewhere and they didn't applied to many places...they are the highest cat %wala in entire history of SDM..
so all depends on ur priorities..plz let me know more abt ur views, so that i cud provide u a more wholistic suggestion...

hi himanshu i also am a outside tamilnadu student with 97.38 percentile but still dont have a counselling call.might be that the cutoff is higher for outside tamilnadu open category students.do u know someone who has less than us and is in the open category but has still got through

also people say that there will be a second list displayed now this counselling session itself is on 13 june, do they have time for the second list,can anybody say that what is the lowest percentile in the outside state open list,please

.hi the first list of the selected out side tn students is out and there are 48 people who are seleceted.the last one is having 97.55 percentile, there counselling date is on 13 june.out of this 23 guys are to be selected, what do u think there will be another counselling round if enough students dont turn up for the first counselling session. and if some n number of seats are left then will they again have the counselling rounds or they will directely give the adm letters to the students next in merit.if there are any nit students out there please reply immediately. i have 97.37 percentile and am next in merit.

I was there too..!!! But opted out at the last minute..

Where were u?.In which category do u come under.
There was one guy in our room(in the non-T.N category)who oupted out at the last minute.Was that u?
I did pay the fee.

There will be a second counseling for the remaining 5(non t.n) seats.3 for o.c and 2 for SC.

i do appreciate ur decesion to drop out NIT n give CAT again .all he best for ur future endeavour.

Only 19 of the 22 seats have been filled in the o.c non t.n category .There are 3 seats available as of now.There is a fair chance that u will get thru.In case u r called for counselling(u will definetely be called) dont forget to get ur DD. U r supposed to pay the fee on the same day.
