well u do have a chance to make it to the main campus. Also I heard from a senior that they are going to increase the seats in the main campus to 100 and combining the two courses offered on the campus(mba im and mba cam) to a single mba course. u can pm me for any other details.

hey guys ... i visited their website www.ggsipu.nic.in............the eligibility criteria reads that a 2 yr work ex is compulsory ...........


is that true ?? can any one throw light upon this ??

i am going for cat 2005 and so have to research about all these institutes .. so plz help ..

hi rahul sorry i forgot yo inform u that i managed to get into the main campus narrowly. narrowly because after me there were only 2 seats empty. u certainly have got into the main campus so be in touch & looking forward to meet when the session begins.

btw saurabh where did u managed to read from the site that 2 yrs work ex is required to get into the main campus.there is nothing like that. ihave no work ex & i am there. haan they wud ask computer related stufs in the entrance.but that is not a big issue as i had zero knowledge abt computers & still managed to clear the entrance

Friends, as a Delhiite I have seen GGSIPU develop with keen interest. After all, it is 'our' university. The univ has made rapid progress and the Kashmere Gate campus is fine overall (same cannot be said about all affiliate colleges).

However, I discourage anyone from doing MBA from that place. I took the examination too and secured a rank in top-20, but the reason was only a *backup* if I had dropped a year for CAT. No way I would have made my career there!

A MBA is a one in a lifetime thing, make sure you do it from a place of standing, a place that has a history behind it, a place which inspires you give your best. MBA is an intense course if it is taught the right way, but in a place like IPU you will be doing just another PG course with little value add. That place is not going to make you push yourself.

I do not want to belittle any students from the univ, but it is my frank opinion. No hard feelings.

hi buddy,

well ur technically correct. Given a proper and better alternative people should/would prefer something else. Me on the other hand selected IP main campus over other colleges which were definately better than IP. Now as per ur analysis doing an MBA frm here will be doing just another PG course. Ergo, the challenge before me is to strive hard and gain so much knowledge from my less elite college,so as to aquire the inherent atomicity of a true MBA.
