GGSIPU-Is it good?

hi all

being reading dis thread for a while.
i did my engg. frm d igit(main campus),so know all abt it.megs wat i wld suggest is dat u drop one year and try cat nex year.mba frm ip(even man campus) is nt worth a single penny.wat is d pt. dat u land up nowhere after spending so much of ur money and energy and getting nothing in return.

thanks for posting ur thoughts. btw could kindly explain by what u meant by "landing nowhere"; does this mean the students who pass out, do not get placed or aren't well paid. Also any additional info abt ggsipu will be greatly appreciated.

After reading the entire thread. Here are my comments.

I also passed out of GGSIPu's BIS course last year. I am very well placed with Evalueserve, which is business research company. I know some MBA pass outs of GGSIPU who have joined Evalueserve a month back. I will talk to them and let you know their personal email ids, so that interested ppl can get in touch with them.

and I would advice you that if you dont want to drop a year, then may be go for it. Ppl here are getting 2.6 as starting, which is decent enough.

btw urs company(evalueserve) is a good one) and atlast some positives to hear abt ggsipu.

well some more points (all of these are on the basis of perception in my company)
except for IMI all insti's Fore, NIILM, IILM, Amity, etc....are treated as equal here (in terms of package).


Megs i will advice you if you dont want to drop a year, go for GGSIPU. also, it is always better to be topper at a smaller institute than to flunk at a big one . Just try and study well there and you can be the one who will be picked up by the best company coming to GGSIPU campus

well certainly that was an intresting story to read abt. truly it depends upon a person's calibre.if he feels that he can give cat a another shot & can improve his perfomance then its well & good but if one feels that he has wasted enough time, money ,energy & patience & cannot wait 4 another yr to begin then he should make a choice of a decent college that wud provide him with a decent placement taking into factors such as amount of investment & corresponding return (placements),location ( metro or non metro coz an average college in metro due to its locatonal advantage & no. of companies operating there is able to come up with decent placements) etc etc. but be prepared to slog it hard after passing out from such institutes because it ultimately it depends upon ur potential that wud decide how far u wud reach . being passing out from iims wud certainly provide one an escalator 4 life while u wud have to climb the stepsto reach there

hey dolphinboy i have go 101 rank for delhi region in the entrance .do u think that would be enough to get me in the main campus .if not then what would be my second choice. i have not much information abt he other affliated colleges in the ip univ.r they worth appling for ?
