GGSIPU may not be a good option for some,But Is it that bad that u r asking him to join any instt under MAT but not GGSIPU.

But [sac_] I just wonder that how could you use such harsh words for your almamater......
FYI , TOP IT companies have already started recruiting 2006 Batch B.Tech guys(even from private instt).....Many of the them are already placed........& even in ur BCA/BIS course ppl are workin in Top Notch IT companies like......... IBM,ORACLE,STM,ADOBE,FLEXTRONICS,HCL.......

Well!!!Well!!!Well!!

Its my almamater too. I passed out of the main department at kashmere gate in 2004 and can vouch for decent placements for most departments there. Be it Btech, SMS (School of mgmt studies) or IGIT (the girls institute in the main campus).
Ita certainly more than taking just a degree, any institute for that matter - it boils down to what you can take away from it, be it learning or the experience.

Thanks for replying again, but I am really confused! Please people, tell me only about the mba course, and not about the mca, and other ones. Also, please dont assume good placements, if the same holds for the other deptts. Can anybody give the email ids of people at GGSIPU right now (mba only!!!)? i really need to contact them, as the time for filling form is running out.

Thumbs up Ggsipu - 21-04-2005, 02:27 PM

to my knowledge they don't have any gd/pi for their MBA/MCA. I did my BBA from IP(2004 pass out), nd i found the examination system pretty mismanaged. moreover, i recently visited their main campus, and after having a reasonable interaction with seniors there(both of SIT nd SMS), i found placements more in IT industry than any other. biggies like infosys, wipro etc do visit the campus, though it all depends upon the student who intends to put it all in the course time period.

infra and faculty at the main campus happens to b ok sort of. though do visit the campus and get the feel...

my opinion- go for GGSIP(main campus) only if u r interested in IT.

regards.....

If you are going for B.Tech. course, then GGSIPU is good... even the private colleges rock!!

But, for MBA, its a strict No-No!!! don't waste your money and time on it!!
