I think i would have choosen Nanyang over XIMB. After appearing for all exams on 17h Jan, I lost all the hopes and tried to figure it out if could apply elsewhere out of India. And I choose my destination to be Singpore for some personal reason.
Nanyang would help u in sense that u'd have foreign exposure. I would suggest you to gether the Avg Salary (u'd earn in dollars man) you get after doing MBA from ther. B'cas Singapore is the business hub of the world and lots of oppertunities r opening r ther alredy and more would come that way. Its the most happening place for me.
After all this plz go to some consultants to ask abt Nanyang and not abt decision reg XIMB or Nanyang. Bcas if u tell them that u have to choose bet'n the two, they may not be interested. And for the first visit many of them don't charge any fees either.

hey gautam ,
thank you very much.. it was very informative..
but what im worried about is this " AT XIMB if u select ur courses in finance properly...ur sure to get a finance job and slowly move into investment banking as u gain experience...". i was hopeful of an economic recovery..in which case.. i feel that it would be much easier. and who knoows..deutsche bank and like may land up in ximb too..?? am i being too optimistic.? also i know that nanyang has not assured 100% placement .. and if not getting placed abroad.. it would be extremely frustrating to come back to india and work but looking at it one way. i am going to spend 10 lacs at the max.. and it is one year course.... guyz im not comparing institutes..im just looking at different perspectives... to make a decision on my career.. with respect to that.. marketing or any field is a strict no no because THE ONLY REASON IM DONG AN MBA is because i want to do something in finance.. ( im working in a fortune 200 company now in IT services.. and earning around 4 lacs/annum with 2+ years of exp) so please guyz. gimme ur thoughts.. mods dont lock this thread.. i need to make a decision based on these valuable inputs.. thanks in advance guyz

hi
it would have been better if u would have compared IIMs and NBS..... XIMB is not at par with NBS....
moreover Singapore being the hub for financial sector.... i guess NBS would be a better option if u wish to go for Equity Research or M&A.....
