well co2,,

u have a real cracker of a problem,tata motors is a grt company.
But frankly u need to get ur priorities rite,,,just ask these que,,at wat profile will u be hired?? will u be satisfied with the same profile for 2 yrs( [promotions in tat motors take some time),,,if u are thinknig of dropping out this year and applying next yr,,,then u need to look into the competition factor(i.e At wat rate are the iit's coming up??,,with almost the same rank or say around 900,,will u be getting a call from iit m or iit d??. And if u are good enuff to get a job from tat motors rite now,,,won't you for sure get a better job with a better profile post ur mbaat iitm??
the answers to these will make ur decision a bit more easy!!!

And well for guys curious to know bout summers,,,the info which i have is all bright,,,placemets (whether,,summer of final) are not an issue at all. it has to be,,,it's a goddamn iit!!!!.And probably the seniors are gonna have a placement week from this year.so thats kinda cool,,

Frankly speaking,,,After pondering a lot,,i realised iit madras ,,tho" a late starter among it's rather highlighted peers,,was coming up really really fast,,and had all the right ingredients of a grt B- school..(refer to my previous post) My decision of joining IIT M,,is based on ,wat it shall be in 2 years rather than wat ppl think bout it rite now!!!

anyways, but let me be a devil's advocate now.

first typo by iitm:
the first page of the letter sent to us had this "DD in favour of IIT MADRAS"
so recently i took the dd as said, but when i browsed thru the pages of form 02, it said "DD if favour of THE REGISTRAR IIT MADRAS". so i had to go to the bank to make the correction.

second typo by iitm:
the form 02 said that we should be at iit on TUESDAY, 27TH JULY.
the first page said that we should be at iit on WEDNESDAY, 27TH JULY.

Does it not say some laxity on their part.

ps: hey, i seem to be the senior most pgite with more posts than anyone else who is joining iitm .

HI Injunk the typo error on the first page does not matter much as the demand draft can be favour of either IIT madars or the reg............ IITM

Also if you guys could join as said by anand (senior at IITM) our official group iitmmba2007 at groups.yahoo.com it would be great we already have 20 members (including anand)

i was just wondering if having 3 threads on IITM is diluting the entire interaction.with so many threads it is difficult to get a response for a query.
that is why i think cosmcaurora had to post the same query on 2 threads.i think this post will also be put on 2 threads by me...because getting a response is so tough..
i request the mods to merge these threads so we can have a one stop shop for all our IITM queries and posts.

hi sujeet the only idea of starting this thread was to have one point where people joining IITM (definately) could exchange thier views but you'r right Lolz we even have two yahoo groups fpr the same and its true it is difficult tracking all five ( i did not post myself on this thread after starting it for a week) So whatever the batch says
