PPL with multiple IIM calls and XLRI/FMS calls (either final or waitlisted)

It would help lot of waitlisted junta. It would help to find a corelation between CAT scores and XAT scores. It will also give idea about the perceived preference of institutes ie. XLRI/FMS/IIMs

1. B.Tech (Comp Sc.) 2004 batch with with no work-ex. Av. acads
2. CAT % =99.57
3. XAT % =99.62
4. 5 IIM calls (LACKI also the PGDCM from IIMC)
5. FMS- not applied
6. XLRI -waitlisted at 24 (BM)
7. Have already converted NITIE and have been rejected by MDI

Order of preference as of now

my background: Bachelor of Information Technology(BIT),Delhi University 2004 pass out
8 months work ex(as of now) with 3i Infotech(previously ICICI infotech),
Mumbai

CAT %ile: 99.47
XAT %ile: 98.**(dont remember the last 2 digits)
IIM calls : only I
FMS : converted
XL(BM) : converted

planning to join FMS as of now. can anybody tell me which one is better : FMS or XL(BM)...! i personally feel that FMS is better becos of the following reasons :

1. Location- Delhi
2. Great ROI - very low fees
3. Placements- amazing ( XL too)
4. Alumni network - great (even XL has a good one)
5. Small batch size

drawbacks:

1. Perceived ranking : XL>FMS
2. Not a residential programme

now i want a second opinion on this. i want to major either in finance or marketing ,have not decided as of now.

so ppl what do u say?

I have XL(BM) WL-12 and FMS(converted)....



The reasons for joining FMS(though have not finalised) are:

1)I want to do a major in finance...ANd as far as majoring in finance or marketing is concerned, there is really no competition..
Do XLRI only if interested in HR or General Management..

2) My sister, she is a ASM at Oberoi Bombay and her clients include DSP Meryllynch among others.. They said that as far as placements go, these companies go to FMS and obv. IIMs... Though infrastructure wise, XLRI is much better, but if you want to major in finance, then FMS is a no-brainer...

So, i feel the choice is really between 2 years of great campus life in a very reputed B-school (XLRI) vs better future prospects(FMS)

Even i have not finalized my decision as yet.. FOr me, two years of campus life are also very dear..
