| it was 190 last year including the first list, the last 2 ppl getting a call just 3 days before the session started.
last yr it was diffrent coz of all the results being lined up in the end. in two previous batches the list was around 165 and the reason for 165 calls against 120 seats is that IIFT believes in giving chance to everybody who has cleared a certain criteria in the viepoint of panel and not restrict it just because there are 120 more PPL lined up in front of him ( this is definately a better logic rather than diffrentiating amongst PPL just cos of variation of just above cutoff and extremely good)
sometimes because of restriction on quality the actual intake has been as low as 95 as against 120 seats available
Cant really say whats on mind of the DG+faculty here ( there might be an addition of few names or there might be no names at all)

I would say
1 go thru the brouchre if u have it with you
second call up/mail IIFT admin and ask them about all details
Regarding waitlist I have posted reply to one of the querries under the thread already please go through that.

hi evrybody, been browsing thru' the site daily for a long time (anxiously,to know my result,,like many others maybe)....but never posted...
and suddenly wat do i see on the 24th........I'M THRU' 
cudn't believe my eyes.....cos' this was the only (one and only) call i had, and with engg. background and 8 months of IT experience(pretty run-ofhte-mill,kinda stuff ),thought it was going to be yet another disappointment after a pretty ordinary GD/PI, and the PI panel members aalmost trying to convince me that maybe i shud work for 1 more year and try again........
gr8 relief......gr8 moment .....
count me in guys.....i'll be thr for sure......
hey sumit......thanx for thr info... but i dont get it......is it like if all the 166 pay the fees the batch stregth wud be 166 ?? or will thr be shortlistijng again(god forbid, such crazy thngs...)

am waiting for the letter to come ....will have to arrange for loans and stuff i guess after that !!
btw ...does IIFT have Wi-Fi connectivity ??? ... if yes then will a lap-top be more convenient ? ... i have to buy a comp anyways , so was thinking if investing in a lap top would be a wise decision ?? | | | | | | | |

hey guys,
huge dilemma - IIFT or IIT delhi ... cant decide
already ditched SCMHRD hoping ill make it to either MDI or FMS but i didnt.
abt the specialization i wanna do i have absolutely no idea right now ... just know i wanna do an MBA!!
also, i have a job with polaris at hand ... thinking of cat 05 also.
cat %ile was 98.33 (90 DI 96 verbal 98 quant)
got calls from MDI, NITIE, TAPMI, FMS, IIT bombay, IIT delhi, SCMHRD, IIFT, NMIMS.
dint attend NMIMS, TAPMI
rejected by MDI, FMS, NITIE, IIT bombay
converted IIT delhi, IIFT, SCMHRD
dint pay up to SCMHRD.
so again ... IIFT or IIT delhi or polaris and cat 05??
confident of getting these calls ATLEAST again .... hands itch for another shot at the IIMs but i hate the job ill be in for a year.
pls pour in ur thoughts

sutapa | NO rankings please guys.Coz everybody has a diff perspective.Some other criterions are ur profile,specialization,workex,n faculty strength,student exchange program.Look at all these and do ur analysis.
I put MDI over SPJ,JB n FMS, IIMI n IIMK too(as some of my friends wud agree to this) for entirely my own reasons.U guys can find ur reasons.Basically all of the above instis r more or less in da same league except IIM ABC which is a notch higer.
ANYWAYS NO CONTROVERSY invited..totally my opinion
