Hi friends!!


About my Self i am BTech in Textiles (Yr 2006) and currently working for RIL

My work Experience is of Technical type (processing and production of polyester)

I got call from IIIT Allahabad and my Interview date is 5th April 2008. I am bit unsure about choosing IT as my carrer now as few i m 26 yrs old and will be of age 28 yrs at completion of MBA in IT.

few concerns that i have are ....

1. Does IT comp have any reservations/preference for max Age limit while recruting at Campus.

2. What is the course nature...Manager or Technical...

3. and what profile do Companies offer during campus..is it managerial position or Technical one like Software engg.

The decision is going to be very crucial for me as i will be investing my two EARNING yrs and a good amount as money

Also will be changing my job ( ie from Textiles to IT ).

Why i am interested in joining the IIIT Allahabad is i want to make my carrer as Business consultant..but bit not sure about how my experince of 2 yrs in Production is going to help me...

Can you tell me what are the highest and average packages offered to students of this course. Also what are the job profiles.
I have a call for PGDM Finance from LBSIM delhi.
Can u please guide me which is a better option for me.

Hi,

Well the fee structure of IIIT will be around Rs 30,000 per sem which includes ur tution fees and hostel & mess fee... which means everything!!!

Placement is goin on, the latest scenario u will get to know later this month.

however last year we have KPMG, Deloitte, Wipro consulting, Congnizant, Satyam, IMRB, HCL.. to name a few for the profile of consultant..business analyst..business associates...

any more info required.. lemme know
