Which are the best for MBA Finance in India?

even though as a principle i don't believe in any of the rankings which r published by various mags ..i came across a list of top coll for diff courses as perceived by the industry which i found creditible enough & hence will put it up here....but again it is only to end the discussion on the thread & not to begin a new one .....
all these coll r GREAT in their own way...
for finance in order......
IIM B,A,C,L,I,K,XL,FMS,JB,SPJ,IMT, MDI,NM,SIBM,NITIE.
for other streams there r diff order but since this is a fin thread i will restrict to that.

I needed some info.

I have got thru MFC(Master of finance & control)-D.U. & IMT(ghaziabad)-PGDBM Finance.

I am very keen on Finance as a specialisation.

I have completed B.Com(H) last year from S.R.C.C & have been working for the past 10 months with KPMG as an analyst.

I just wanted to know as to which of the 2 is a better option for Finance.

Another consideration for me is that MFC is a Masters course from DU not equivalent to an MBA.What is the industry perception with regard to the above.Also in my opinion an MBA gives u better all round development compared to a pure Finance course.

Please advise guys

I have converted XLRI (BM).I want to specialize in finance. I wanted to know what is the ranking of XLRI as far as finance is concerned. How r the placements and the faculty etc..Can anyone plz share some info on this?

Firstly kudos 4 gettin into 2 totally awesum,rockin institutes.
So nw cums d tuff part.......nywayz my take on dis wud dat u tk up IMT.
D reasons behind my sayin dis r:
1.Industry perception vis-a-vis IMT bein a full fledged B-school
2.Past placement track record.....(u can verify 4 urself)
3.Thirdly as pointed out by u,dat d masters programme is not equivalent 2 an MBA.
4.Adding d necessary width 2 ur profile by takin up an all round course like an MBA.

Nywayz at d end of d day it is u who has 2 decide..........

I personally wont recommend IIF ..i stay close to the insti and the students dont even approve of the college..moreover no infra..(this yr the college was closed for sum days due to leasing problem)...also not many companies visit the college...n i m wroking on the same post wid some of IIF pas outs in my company wid the same profile..(bas unhe do saal ho gaye to ab promotion hua hai)...and with 2.5 yrs of work ex its not worth at all....ulta ur value is gng to reduce after u pass out from this insti.
again a personal opinion....u need to thnk over ur cappabilites that will u be able to crack better insti next yr or not...cheers!!!!

I have converted calls from GIM , FORE ,MICA(No finance here)...and waiting for results from TAPMI,NIRMA and IIT-Kanpur.which college is best in finance?and is finance from any of these colleges worth loosing a seat at MICA?I have to deposit fees to these institutes so wud appreciate an early response.
