HI All...

i think that the SOP is necessary. What I guess is that even if its not mentioned in the call letter, they might ask you to write a 15 minute essay or could ask you questions like why NIFT? Thinking of some fancy reasons won't do at that time. So better start working on your SOP..

hi..
i completely agree wit u..even if a formal one is not required they r bound to ask questions like why nift?why fashion?n similar ones on these lines....but u can b a lil flexible when ur givin a verbal explanation while a written one has to b absolutely precise..

Hi.. I recieved my call letter today but it doesn't mention anything except date/time and venue.. I have my psychometory test on 11th and GD/PI on 12th..

Meanwhile, i have got the final admit from IFMR chennai and I have paid the fees today.

that's precisely what I was saying so it seems no formal SoP is required by the institute. And I agree with u that having an informal SoP in ur mind is an absolute neccessity.

Hi guys....
Sorry for posting late....here you have d reap of d things u need to emphasize in d Psychometric Test. The test will comprise of 6 sections as follows:
1. visual Reasoning - Questions will be easy but practice hard, so that u wont commit any mistakes.
2. Problems on Maps - These will be time constrained. You will be provided with a map, you are supposed to connnect two maps in the map using d mouse. Pretty easy excercise; bas dont panic. Stay kool n give ur best.
3. Situation Based Questions - Again MCQ's based on situations, to check your decision making capabilities.
4. Questions on Leadership Capabilities, Initietive, Creativity etc. - Simple questions. Be as natural as possible. An even if you pretend to be good; stick to same stnce coz same questions will be asked again and again.
All questions will be in MCQ format. Stay cool. Many questions will be timed, so keep ur cool and give ur best.

Well, last yr..they did asked us to bring SOP...it was mentioned in d call letter itself... to be on d safe isde, i went vth moi Cv too.
so its better u prepare n confirm it frm their office too....

thanks bro, but I didn't get that Map wala test. ALso could u substantiate the on the kind of questions to check leadership, initiative and creativity. Man how could one check the leadership and initiative through MCQs.
