a personal experience about IIMM - 02-03-2005, 03:03 PM

hii guys,i went to Bhopal for IIMM inrterview and i want to tell u all that it was a horrible experience.I had 98%ile in MAT but i still preffered to give BAT(Balaji admission test). The official time for BAT was 9-12AM ,but the test was actually started at 11:30 AM,thanks to the inefficient IIMM management. At 3:30 PM BAT was over but the students gave the test without any invigilator. After that they told us to wait but nobody among the organizers were willing to give any information regarding the interview. At 8:30 PM they finally told us to leave and told us that GD&PI will be held on next day.On next day i had my train at 5 PM but i could not board the train as the interview could not be completed till then.I had no option other then leaving my train.A guy was so frustrated that he tore his admit card and went off.Is this the way a management college manages things? And they say they are very strict and punctual. The college is run by retd. army officers who can neverr be great managers.I would never join this college after such an experience. Also the college doesnt have its own building and permanent faculties, even they are not approved by AICTE.Please guys, dont risk ur future at the hands of these crazy brats.....waiting for ur responses

i understand ur frustration saurabh but its no reason for u to say that army officers can never be great managers. go to ssb and maybe ul learn a few things about army officers and how tough it is to get thru their selection processes.managing is not only relevant in the corporate world. our army is managed ,run and very well organised. i think army officers make great managers.

hi Nisha,
thanx to reply to my post but u will be amazed to know that even my dad is a retd.Lt.Col.And yeah about going to SSB and facing it ,I have cleared SSB for the airforce for NDA entry. Now coming to the point where i said that they can never be good managers ,i just want to focus ur attention towards NIM kolkatta and CMM,jabalpur. Both colleges are run by AWES and both are in pathetic condition.NIM,kolkatta was started in 1996 and still it manages to fetch an average of 1.9 Lacs. And yeah i hv cleared my interview of IIMM........waiting for ur responses
