plz share some info abt the institute. which exam it uses to shortlist students etc.

till last year their was MPMJET entrance examination for DAVV...but this year MET is their...checkout the TOI of last few days u will find the official declaration of 2005 exam

ya it is true that admissions in DAV indore r through MET (M.P. state mgmt. entrance exam) But till last year DAV had 22 seats for all india quota for which admissions were made through ATMA. Have u given ATMA if yes tell me ur score & percentile i would be able to help u better.
And if ur from M.P. give MET man.Its an easy exam.

first of all,devi ahilya vishwavidyalaya is not an institute,it's the name given to indore university.people don't know the college names so they confuse it with the university name.im currently studying in the same university and giving my b-school interviews too.

as for your query the college which conducts the mba course is called institute of management studies(ims),it has decent enough placements bt i think that it isn't even in the top 20.the seats are through mpmjet which is the state level mba entrance exam i have no idea whether it has any seats through mat or atma.


the university is a recognised name throughout india,so if u don't have a better option,then u can always go for ims but do check out on the infrastructure.

Interesting to see some interest in my alma mater. As somebody mentioned right, Devi Ahilya Bai is an University and Not a college. SOme of the prominent colleges in it are.

1. IMS(Institute of Mgmt Studies(not to be confused with the MBA prep thingy).- Entrance through MPMJET.MP govt. Decent Infrastructure, very average placements, but a pretty good teaching faculty. Apart from the regular MBA program, it also offers programs in MeC(Master in E-Commerce), Bachelor and Masters in hospital Administration. Hostel facilities are excellent.

2. IIPS (International Institute of Professional Studies).--- Urs truly did his grad from here. This college specialises in offering Integrated courses like a 5 ys( 3yr BMS+2 yr MMS) degree, 6 yrsMCA ( 3 yrs BCA+ 3yrs MCA), and the 2 years MMS program(for interest of current applicants)....... The placements are above average, but the 2 yrs MMS students will have to compete with the 5yr integrated program students(Read.. COMPETITION).Same hostels.

These are the only 2 colleges offering MBA/MMS/Mgmt degrees... DAVV has many other colleges offering specialisations in lots of stuff... Kept it out deliberately as I felt it wud be of little importance in the forum.

but i have not appeared for atma. do they accept mat scores? i have 95.9 %le in mat and 75 in cat.

Also do you need domicile of MP to appear in MET or anyone can appear in exam?

IMS is a decent college but it has a big locational disadvantage.Also,companies visiting the campus are not satisfied with the students.What I feel is it is because of the selection procedure followed by university.MET is not of much standard.I may get IMS easily but i myself prefer a college located in a city like pune or mumbai
