there is no campus.. its just a residential house kinda building with a small board outside. ibs hyd is the best..bangalore ibs is no where near it!! think twice thrice before joinin it. with the kind of fees ul be paying its better to join some where else than ibs bangalore.

Lightbulb Ibs-b Info - 20-02-2005, 11:10 PM

Hi all

Iam Naveen a new member.Trying to get info abt IBs-B.Here is what i have from a current student of IBS-B:-
(1)"The only thing we all here are worried about is the batch strength that you are gonna have this time. Well before coming here, try to learn some accounting funds, finance here is gonna help you a lot and if you are good at finance in ICFAI, i bet u will succeed anywhere be it marketing job or I.T. job. also, before coming here have a broad idea of where u want to lend up after mba and start making your network to get SIP and placement in that industry, because, through institute, you may not get the desired destination. Out of 200 seniors 120 got placed till now, and the salery is ranging from 2 to 4.5. not bad, better than last year as still 2 months to go.
(2)"ICFAI Bangalore is good enough, only if you are ready to work hard. All facilities are available, eventhough, infrastructure (in terms of looks and ambience) is a big drawback. Faculties are also good enough, but still u should remember, it is u have to use these two years to exploit the institute and institute is not gonna spoon feed you or gonna take care of you. The biggest problem for your batch is gonna be the batch strength, we are 270 and have heard that your batch size would be somewhere around 400....thats too big a strength man. As far as placements are concerned, 120 out of 200 are placed and still 3 months to go. Frankly speaking, we had to slog a lot to get good summer projects, but at the end, everybody has got SIP-for some of them not good enough.
These are the two e-mail conversation with him that i have.
If have some more facts please share as i want to feel motivated about it.

hi - 21-02-2005, 01:59 AM

hello all..
gud to see a thread started exlusively for ppl who hve got admissions at icfai,blore..was scandalised to see nobody responding to the msgs in the main group..anyways i hve also gottan admission at blore..my cousin passed out from blore(2003-2005) batch and ended up with a pretty decent offer at i-flex solutions(around 4.4 lacs)..well,according to him the insti will not help u getting offers frm top companies..we'll def hve to tke the initiative to slog our butt out and ensure tht we end up getting a top dollar job..the campus is not state-of-the-art but the faculty for finance(dont really knw about other electives)are gud..so if u blieve tht u hve the potential and can really make the cut above the rest, then this place is ok..

who says nothing is impossible..?!i've done nothing all my life!
