ppl. pg is meant to share views and opinions and info as also to give vent to whatever.. u want to contradict, check out XAT and XLRI discussion threads first. This is a forum ( forum = A public facility to meet for open discussion discussion = An extended communication (often interactive) dealing with some particular topic or An exchange of views on some topic ) so everyone can speak, including mik. i am sure he has a reason ... about earlier threads carrying similar info... and i am sure all of us also have a reason to start and continue this thread in this forum... to seek and share info about these places this time...
So no need to get personal and no need for an exchange of hot air...
As far as locking this is concerned... its up to the mods... they know what they should do.. so its not either for us or for mik to say...
Mik, dude, if you dont like this thread, you are welcome to go to any other.. there are lots in pg... just lie in peace and smoke the good stuff.. pls dont go on and on abt locking it.. as far as i know u r not a mod.. till u become one, let ppl treat a forum as it is supposed to be... we are concerned abt our joining some insts... maybe you already have too many calls to care... i really dont know.
As far as info goes... in my immediate next post for clarity of content.

info abt XAT allied insts.. last dates for submitting forms

BIM last date 10 feb now changed to 28 feb
XIME last date 15 feb
XISS last date 26 feb

XIME has forms which will be sold only till 5 feb... no online downloads or online registration here

I think LIBA also is 26 feb and ITM navi mumbai is way away.. 30 march..

ppl, these are essentially B grade or even C grade insts.. pay packages are not gr8.. somewhere along 3L CTC i suppose, am in the process of getting more info abt that...

Sectional cutoffs - 03-02-2005, 09:44 AM

As far as i know, only XLRI and XIMB have sectional cutoffs.. Any idea abt SIBM ? And ofcourse abt BIM, GIM, XIME, XISS?

Apart from sec cutoffs, assuming no or low sec cutoffs for these insts, i suppose 90s or late 80s percentile should fetch calls from GIM onwards.. BIM? me thinks they might act pricey.. 92-95?

see ven in cat instis like tapmi have a token sectional cutoff of say something like 40%ile in each section. so it wouldnt be wrong to assume that gim will have such a cutoff. i know its unlikely but just keep it in mind. same thing for sibm. afa the other instis r concerned no chance of sec cut off.

So in all probability, BIM will ahv sec cutoffs (token nd low) even possibly GIM, butu every other inst that takes XAT scores may only look at overall scores.... that gives many ppl reason for hope
