Dear Friends,
Sorry for the delay....well let me first introduce myself...i am a student from BIM (class of 2006) and a member of PR Committee.I welcome all your questions regarding BIM's life , placements , faculty ,students etc.But would like to refrain from commenting on cut-off marks adn admission process as it is not in our hands and is something decided by the management.comparisons among institutes is something I would like you to better conclude yourself . On the first hand let me assure you that we have already achieved 100 % placements this year ... I'll get back to you with latest figures which everyone is too curious about !!!
One aspirant had apprehensions about the location of the institute and it's industry interactions. BIM was established with the collaboration of BHEL.The institute is housed within the sprawling BHEL complex .The students have direct access to BHEL industrial units .Trichy is the fourth largest city in tamil nadu and housed withmany industries such as BHEL,OFT,HAPP, Rane Sterlings,CETHAR vessels ,VKN boilers,TANSI units..etc.

looking in for details abt various b schools....
nice that BIM pr com has stepped in to clear our apprehensions,....
comon yaar ur students being selected for US Univ is such a gr8
acheivement to boast of....
why are u guys modest enuf n keepin a very low profile......????
had it been some other institute, it would have flooded media with ads....right????
as rightly said, empty vessels make noise....Bim needn't.......

anyways got loads of ques as other frens in this forum do....
abt placement n other stuffs???
wen will u guys furnish the pacement details....

wat abt the last date for applying for bim????

hey do they consider individual cutoffs for each section or they go for an overall one....And any guesses on how much the cutoff is going to be...

hey pr_bim! long time no see! pleez care to answer my queries! we understand dat u cant talk much about admissions! but all dat we are asking u here is the general trend since u and ur classmates must have got a clearer picture now!
how important is it to clear the individual cutoffs for bim? and can we apply to bim even if we did not mention the college in our xat registration form! coz ur website says that xat should send the scores to them on their own!

I feel for sure, BIM is far better than any other institution in Tamilnadu and is comparable with any top level management institution. Some of my friends are studying in BIM, and they say though its located in trichy, (not the ideal place u want a management institution to be) it is doing good job.
Very recently a team of 4 students have won scholarship to participate in GSEC, University of Washington, out of 170 entries thru out the world. Only other participant is IIM A
As for stories saying that BIM doesnt have gud placement record, well guys pls check out the details....This year the companies visited BIM Includes top level private comp and Public Sector (How many PSU's visit MBA Colleges??? and give 6.5+ Lacs per annum Ex: Power Finance Corporation)

Positive Side
+ Gud Faculty
+ Gud Infra (Located inside BHEl and students given complete access to BHEL premises)
+ placements 100%

On the negative side
- Remote Location
- No nite life and partying
- Govt College

But what has Happened to PR_COM, BIM? Wake up man

PRcom_BIM , Rajz, ajoykumarp ......one comes in and starts a thread, another comes up with seemingly innocuous questions, yet another tries to shake off the seeming modesty of the original poster !!!!! UFFFFFF....whts going on here read the whole thread in search of some good info about BIM at this crucial moment ....and ended up with some spam messages...hey guys if u cant do any good plz atleast dont harm others..such comments about a college at such a crucial time when everybody is making a career decision could be very dangerous...so plz dont mislead the help seekers.

Never imagined people can stoop so low to get some cheap publicity..makes me wonder wat people get thro this??? good one mod..atleast saved us from reaching some conclusions on BIM....Let the true facts speak!
