BIM sux I say this again. Join at your own risk. It is highly overated . PLS GET IN TOUCH WITH PGITES who are at BIM and ask them for yourself about placement. If Rs. 1 lakh per year is what you want BIM is your place. I heard even the top most pays don't cross Rs. 30k per month.
But if u are joining BIM for the sake of edu alone it is a great place. The infrastructure is ok. But the faculty is not great. Please call some PGite there and check for urself. Please.

bye,
Rick. | Tapmi is way ahead of the rest of the pack ( 18-20 all india). The rest follow in this probable order BIM ,ICFAI (Hyd),GIM ,LIBA ,PSG,Alliance Business Academy,REC Trichy,Christ College,XIME..all of these will be in the top 50 all india.
Hardcore Facts..well that would be Median Salary ,Curriculum ,Locational advantage etc.BIM and ICFAI (hyd) are close BIM would probably be outright winner if not for Location and Resources of ICFAI (we can read management.
any other opinions ?? | | | | | | | |

Hey guys Liba is certainly better than BIM hands down. I only look at placements when comparing the INSTITUTIONS. Here is another story BIM placements are not with the best companies in India. But their placements are with companies that "are not bad" in Tamil Nadu. A case in point is the placement of 5 BIM grads with GEA Energy system. These guys were all management trainees the first year and paid less than Rs. 8k per month. But the contract was such that after the first year they got a salary of 20kper month which is still not terrific. These students were anyway raked among the top in class. So unless u are desparate and any job will do BIM is not your place. Dig this there is no 100% placement with BIM. I will get my cousin who is a BIM graduate to post some inside story he will be the best source. But you can verify all that I say with BIM students.
Whereas LIBA the placements are usually with financial and banking establishments hence a salary close to 40 k per month after the trainee period is to be expected. I know a LIBA grad (a girl who is my neighbor) who got a job with ICICI with a pay of 5 lakhs per annum. She was ranked in the top 10% in class. But the down side is getting an admit into liba is difficult as nearly half or more of the 60 seats go to fill quotas. Another downside is it is very strict in LIBA some peeple joke that it is like a school. My advice do not even join BIM as a last resort ( in the end it is your decission ofcourse) unless you want to end up in a fix during placement season.

Hey guys,
Great Initiative man..The first thing BIM needs is a gud PR. For all its achievements, BIM has always been unnoticed
I feel for sure, BIM is far better than any other institution in Tamilnadu and is comparable with any top level management institution. Some of my friends are studying in BIM, and they say though its located in trichy, (not the ideal place u want a management institution to be) it is doing good job.
Very recently a team of 4 students have won scholarship to participate in GSEC, University of Washington, out of 170 entries thru out the world. Only other participant is IIM A
As for stories saying that BIM doesnt have gud placement record, well guys pls check out the details....This year the companies visited BIM Includes top level private comp and Public Sector (How many PSU's visit MBA Colleges??? and give 6.5+ Lacs per annum Ex: Power Finance Corporation)
Positive Side
+ Gud Faculty
+ Gud Infra (Located inside BHEl and students given complete access to BHEL premises)
+ placements 100%
On the negative side
- Remote Location
- No nite life and partying
- Govt College
But what has Happened to PR_COM, BIM? Wake up man
