seeing the excerpt of the chat u had with the counsellor I feel that u were also equally curt.I've had many chats with the counsellors regrding my appn form and each time I was satisfied with the response.
Counsellors arent the know alls of Amity buddy.She asked u to wait so that she cud confirm with the required person as to whether help could be provided.Also if u were so unsure of choosing 5th as a date shudnt u first have chatted to the counsellor then??
I had doubts on the gd/pi and when I asked the counsellor she told me that further dates would also be released.
Comeon buddy there are around a 1000 applicants or even more.U cannot expect the session to finish in 2days flat!!!
Now I feel the way out is to phone up Amity and earnestly request them to change ur date or go to Amity and do the needful.

hii guys
they ve relesed 5 dates till now...n mre forms r bein procesed...amity calls evry1 bove 80 ...gud techniquue to make money...no wonder y they ve such excellent infrastructure(or only excellent infrat to b precise)

i thnk even the gd n inteview rounds r gonna b elimination ones..ratio cud b like 30:1...imagine not being able to convert even amity...

Hey, now that you have selected the date of the discussion and the interview( like many other people would have) it would be great if you could share your experiences with us once you are through..it would be nice to have an idea of what the test consists of..dont want to be surprised any more..have had enough for one year with these entrance exams... i also have a friend of mine who is studying there, and he told me that a lot of things inside amity have changed now..it is no longer a batch of rich brats as it used to be..and they also have quality placements.. will contact him and let ya'll know what points we can keep in mind before the interview..asap

Hi Robin. The counsellor asking me to write a complain is a sign that he/she accepts that it was Amity at fault here and not me. Ofcourse 1000 applicants can't be dealt so fast but they should have known that earlier before releasing the dates. The options I had were only 4th and 5th and I never had an Aakaashvaani to tell me that the scope of dates would be windened. I had no problems with the cousellor asking me to wait but I was anguished at the way he/she asked me to complain - and complain "any where". I thought that was sad. I mean this is one of the top rated Management schools and it was utter mismanagement on their part.

Hi ppl....... my frnd is having a prob....
he gave mat of september n applied 2 amity on its basis....
now he is being told dat amity doesnt consider sept mat!!!!
was this mentioned newhere in their brochure?
also ne ideas wat shud he do?
I advised him 2 visit amity once..... ne other suggestions???

theres nothing like that. even i am apllying through sept mat! i enquired b4 applying.they even sent me a mail which i wish to produce here:

i wrote:

I had appeared
for MAT conducted by AIMA on 5th September 2004 and have obtained a

required to appear for MAT again in order to get call from AMITY or the

but when u knew that u had an interview on 5th at icfai, then why did u select the same date for amity??? u should hve explained yr prob to the counsellors at amity b4 going ahead and selecting the date. u dont need akashvani to think or use yr brain.man....give them a letter in writing now so that u can get yr date changed.

The moment I saw the dates as 4th and 5th, I knew I had to forego one of ICFAI and Amity. I thought Amity was a truely professional school and wouldn't really bungle up on dates. You tell me whats the point on having just two dates on one day and 5 on the other. When I logged into my minisite at Amity it clearly asked me to choose one of the following dates -4th or 5th. Now why should I be calling Amity for that? I believed they were professionals and wouldn't give another date apart from the one formally announced just because I have another exam on one of those dates. You are saying I should have used my brain to pre-empt a mistake which was certainly not mine. I used my brain in prioritizing and taking a decision quickly. Now if people who respond fast have to lose, thats the problem of the management. Think logically.

P.S. Why I chose Amity when I had ICFAI on the same date is a matter of my personal choice (I rate Amity higher) and not related to this. What I complain about is me not being given an opportunity to choose among 5 dates only because I was quick to respond.
