Hi Guys

Sorry for the delay in replying.I was staying over at my bro's flat in Noida.
Guys the first advice I would give,like Karun would be 'Dont Take it Easy'.
It's not a cakewalk at all.
Karun's already given his feedbak on his experience so I wont go into details of the presentation and so on.
Gd topics at Amity are only Case Studies.So no amount of Gk would help you out .
Also the Gd duration is only for 4 minutes and that too u need to ensure that it doesnt become a fish market.
My case study involved a certain Mr Kappoor who is very friendly by nature.However his and the company's efficiency is suffering becos he is not being able to effectively plan out production in 2 factories under him and neither is he being able to effectively communicate and manage his subordinates.
The co. is not happy and neither is Mr Kapoor.No one reports properly to him and some dont report at all.
We were to effectively find a solution to put an end to mr Kapoor's inefficiency.
In our group- a fish market was avoided most of the time.However what really pissed me was when the summary turned into another GD.Some girl who probably didnt know what it means to summarize cut the poor guy giving a decent enough summary to add her own beautiful voice

I was really scared about the Pi as guys from my batch had only one word to utter when they came out of the room-"SHIT" Acads were being asked and I was pretty much apprehensive.
I got into the room and wished everybody and sat down when one of the panelists offered me to.The panel consisted of Vp-HR-Ballarpur industries,HOD-Finance(Amity),HOD-IT(Amity) and 2 senior students.The students werent eligible to ask us any questions.They were only to observe us.
Anyway The VP asked me to describe myself.That went quite smoothly till I described one of my strengths which was to Judge people really soon.HOD-Finance asked me to judge the panelI protested at first saying it was too short a time span.However she was insistent and so I said that two of the panelists seemed to be very attacking and agressive in the sense that they were waiting to see me stumble while 2 seemed to be very friendly.Also Mr vp seemed to be friendly without showing many emotions.
Hod -Finance now asked me to name the agressive ones and so I proceeded on to name her and one of the seniors.She now asked me to close my eyes and try to remember the names of the panelists.I knew the name of the agressive ones only.She said "see u remmber the names of the agressive ones" to which I replied "yes mame,to make a mark in marketing I also need to be agressive."
Hod-It now started off by asking me my fav. subject to which I replied Networking.She then proceeded to ask me questions on TCP/IP and OSI. I answered most of these except one on VPN.The last question was one on how would u ensure secure commn when setting up an online business.I replied by beating around the bush but soon said SET and SSI.
Overall I would say the panel seemed to be impressed and each one of them said good to me at the end .
However were they really impressed?-one can only speculate now and wait for the results.
Guys be confident in ur approach.remember Amity need u as badly as u need them.Revise ur fav. subjects and remain as cool as possible.

hi friends i attended my gd/pi at amity yesterday so i thught lets share my experiance with those who are going to appear for it.
First of all thay have a seminar of atleast three hours about the institute and its stuff.Then thay divide you in 16 groups according to your alphabetical names order.then comes Pschometric test nothing but 125+18 questions(two papers) on your personal traits.Then they call you for a CASE STUDY according to your group.
CASE STUDY: it had three penalists and two senior students and you were given a case to study.but it was wierd that ispite of normal gd in this case all were given turn to speak one by one .I had a good one .
MEALS:then comes mid day meals i must confess food was really good.
INTERVIEW :if your name starts with letters after P then you are unlucky for you will have to wait for long for your chance to come.Anyhow mine came at 6:30 it was awful six penalists three in front and three at your back including one psychometric analyst.First there were questions on my acads that were O.K but as they turned to hobby it became worst case scenario.Question ranged from side strip news of TOI to deep into your hobby.
so that was my experiance i know i will not get through but hope anyone who reads this gets enough info and gets through.

had my amity int today... met grad_sid n act_naturally...
guyz .. it was wonderful meeting u.... felt like meetin buddies frm skool
ok ... here is how d entire process went.....
U ve 2 report by 10 am..... enter from gate no 2 n on d gate u ve to
register urself.... u ll get ur gd/pi batch no n also a food coupon...
(yes.. there is provision for lunch!!!!!)
u gonna go 2 audi n a presentation wd b made 2 u abt amity n its objective
and other stuff....

we had d privilige 2 listen to Mr. Chauhan (founder)..... a nice
gentleman n really humble n down 2 earth... he also had some interaction wid
d students.... A great experience!!!!

After dat few grps went for gd n rest gave their psychometric test...

gd was a case study n the topic was Quantitiy vs Quality for a company...
some other data was also given... it went well!!!!!!!!! inspite of 16 students the
whole thing DIDNOT turn into a fish market!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the panel was cool.... On d whole a pretty nice exercise....

after dat v had our psycho test n proceeded for lunch....

nxt was my interview which lasted around 10 min....
int panel : 5 ppl..... 2 from student panel n 3 prof or ppl from industry....

Interviewer(I): Ur coll is pretty close 2 ur place...
Me(M): Yes sir... abt 5 min
I: Which school?
M:...........
I: Who was d principal?
M:...........
I: give us three reasons why should we select u....
M:...........
I: Who is president of NASSCOMM?
M: Sorry sir ... dont kno........
I: dats a failure on ur part...
M: i agree sir..... but failures r steppin stones 2 success...
I: wat is VSAT?
M: BLAH BlAH.......
I: good. gimme its full form....
M: Ahhhhhhh....
I: very...
M: very small aperture terminal
I: but u didnt tell before... this is another failure........
I: wat do u expect out of amity?
M:...........
I: any weakness? how?
M:...........
I:any other?
M:...........
I:any +ve aspect of dis weakness?

try n revise ur fundas of grad subjects.... ppl in diff panels had diff exp.. some not 2 sweet too!!!!!!!!

hii freinds
i just had my interviews over at 6 pm.
the gd was a case study.it was very cordial and structutred.evryone got a cahnce to speak .
then came the interviews.other candidates were grilled for 10 -15 mins .it was kinda stress interview.
then my turn came.here are the excerpts::
prof:: tell us something about urself
me:: i m a chartered accountant...strenghts are... hobbies...

prof:: why not practise ca than mba
me::: i dont want to confine myself to taxation and auditing

prof::why were u shaky at the gd
me :; i wasnt accustumed to such a structured gd

prof:: but some other candidates perform well
me:: may be it wasnt my day

prof:; r u really a ca?show me ur certificates
(i showed himthe certs)

prof:; will u take addmission if given
me:: definitely sir

prof:: thank you.it was nice talking with you

anyways i hav a mat percentile of 99.8

guys overall it was nice to visist amity.infra is good. had the opportunity to meet other candidates.they are really good and geting into amity wont be easy this time.

hey bdy... my score 2 is 800!!!!!!!! and wat i hrd frm seniors there is dat ur MAT score does carry weightage!!!! so jst keep cool ... hope for d best n conc on other calls u ve..... all d best........
