Amrita is ok - 17-01-2005, 12:30 PM

hello MS...... Amrita business school is one among the better lot...... placements r ok with a median salary of 15k... faculty is extremely good.... one of theirs made the slogan for kitkat and frooti.... but the main problem is the lifestyle... if u can live for 2 yrs without much partying and girls, then go for it. good luck

if it is to be, it is upto me.

hi peeps..
Amrita of course wd be a decent choice if u r caught up in the 60-80 percentile range in CAT. They ensure 100 % placement as in most other b-skools and they do have faculty from Standford and Harvard..

Something u r going to hate most abt amrita is how they include " Bhakthi " into ur curriculum.. This is common to most programmes conducted by the Amrita Trust. The MBA programme is the one wher things are most relaxed.. And odd rules and regulations may of course kill the interest u have always had whenever u thought abt MBA.. Moreover u get stranded in the outskirts of Coimbatore...

But with no great options open.. I do not suggest tossing ur GD/PI call away.. Do convert and invest more time on deciding to take it up..

Bol!!!

Amrita school of business is definitely a really good one. got a call myself for gd/interview. For those of u who havent heard of it, its in coimbatore in tamil nadu. Yeah the bhakthi thing really would take the toll on u especially if ur not the religious type.
And helllllooooooo!!!!!!!!!! is mba all about partying & girls??????????
It wouldnt hurt if we really did toss it all for a while![/quote]

uhhhhhhh!!! Blame my keyboard for that if not me... Details of Standford based professors have been bragged to me by an old pal whoz currently into MBA @ Amrita. No idea if they have opened up a so-called university near mettupalayam or anna nagar...
Lets not look down at Amrita like that Maverick.. It is an upcoming instituition.. Do take ur own good time to decide on that guyz...
