Amrita faculty is veryyyy goood......

"Amrita" factor plays good in attracting good faculty to the college...

Any way , Amrita is a good school by any standards. The faculty profile matches or betters that of many other “better known” B-schools. Most of the permanent facultyhave their PhDs from US Universities.
Skeptics……… Please take a look at the web site.
They were lacking in marketing themselves and now they have woken up. The advt. on the top of this page proves it.

My views about ASB are

Pros:

1.Excellent faculty
2.Excellent Infrastructure
3.Part of the Amritha Math, no dearth of Funding…..
4.Comparatively low fees ( 47500 per semester+ 10000 (p.a) for hostels)
5.In the same campus as the Engg college, which is simply top class.
6.Placements are improving avery year ( 100% for last 2 years, in companies like ICICI bank, Citifinancials etc…)

Cons:

1.Location, too far from Bangalore or Chennai.
2.No scope for weekend celebrations ( strict code of conduct)
3. Food is vegetarian, that too mostly in south Indian style

Things like spiritual emphasis and Yoga are over hyped by people posting here.

hi konfuzion,

i had been to the amrita campus two days back. met some of my ol friends.
came to know that the top placement this year was from citi. they took in around 9(not sure) guys, with a CTC of 6.05 lacs. now tht's is cool or what!

citi offered the fatest salary packet last year too. it was 4.someting lac , back then.
so thats a quantum leap.

HELLO..i m too really hopin to get a call frm AMRITA..i ve got just 73 percentile for CAT...can i expect a call? CAN ANYBDY TELL ME how strict is the hostel ? n how r the restrictions for going outside esp for GIRLS..thanks a million...sumby get a alumni alumni or student to post in here pls..
