Hey i hv made it to ISBM pune for the mngmt course....its a relatively new instt but i've hrd that it has decent placements to offer.....
I'll be very glad if someone could offer me some info abt the coll as a whole and whther or nt is it advisable to join it........
looking fwd to all advice guys......plss help me out me in a fix........

ISBM PUNE IS GOOD .......INFACT I HAVE MADE IT TO MEDIA MANAGEMENT AND LET ME MAKE THINGS CLEAR ISBM DOES NOT GIVE MBA DEGREEE IT IS JUST A POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME ....... I HAVE GOT MASS COMMUNICATION AND ADVERTISING .....WELL INFRA STRUCTURE ISNT GREAT NOW ISBM WILL BE SHIFTING TO A NEW CAMPUS AROUND NEXT JAN......I SPOKE TO A FACULTY AND SHE WAS FRANK ABT THE COLLEGE...I DID COME AROUND A STUDENT WHO IS DOING HIS ADVERTISING ,,,,.....HE SAID WE HAVE FACE SOME TOUGH TIMES BUT THE INDUSTRY INTERFACE AND THE CORPORATE FEED BACK IS AWESOME......
THEIR PLACEMENTS ARE AVERAGE FOR ADVERTISINg is say around 2.2 and their management avg is 4.2 pa. i knew abt it coz i got some students there .....and a faculty. the highest is 8 lac but no student cud fit into it. and in advertising the highest is 3.8 l this year.......

Isb&m Is Now The Third Best Mgmt. Insti. In Pune After Sibm And Scmhrd.if U Really Looking For Some Descent Placements Then Just Dont Think Ahead. Otherwise Iimm , Indira And What Not The List Goes On...most Of The Big Indian Companies Now Visit The Isb&m Campus For Placement With Descent Packages. So If U R Planning To Get Into A B School In Pune Then Sibm,scmhrd And Isb&m Are The First Best 3 Choices. Else...........................................all The Best.

well neha,ISBM is a school which no one will usually recommend others to take admission into but m not sure reg Indira as well.ISBM is costly plus there is no guarantee dat u will get placed after 2 yrs thru campus placements.my take will b to leave both the schools and try for better ones nxt yr rest is ur decision........

PS:m not a student of ISBM but i know dis as i had one of my friends der.he was on the verge of nervous breakdown due to non placements but luckily he got one last week.

m not from media and it is not necessary dat only media companies come for campus.My friend got placed in IDBI.

hey guys

i saw this thread....and have studied in pune and know quite alot about the colleges at pune...look isbm is a decent institution and it's definately nothing like top of the world....and i pity all those who believe it's 3rd best in pune...let me give u a fair idea about mba institutes at pune....

Pumba is considered the best mba institute at pune (this u guys wud realize when u land up in pune and spend 3-4 months there and start knowing more about the city).

Second comes in Symbiosis (and i don't differentiate much among sibm,scmhrd,siib as all 3 are run in one building, have common facilities,faculty and placements).

Also, many people rate pumba and symbi at same level and some rate symbi higher and some rate pumba higher.

Third comes Imdr (i suppose u guys have not heard of it, but trust me it's very good and institues like isbm and indira are no match to it in any way).

Then comes in IIMM or BIMM (name has changed to bimm) and Isbm...and in these 2 also i rate Bimm a littele higher than Isbm (again this thing will be realized by u when u land up in pune and have unbiased discussions with peers).

After this there are many more institutions like mit,singhad,indira etc. etc. which might get u a placement in very booming times.

In the end i want to say that these are personal opinions and are shared by almost everyone who has lived in pune or studied there or been a pert of college life at pune, and there's no intention to offend anyone or any institution.
