i made it to SIMC (Symbiosis Instt of Mass Comm) for Comm.Mgmt Course (i.e.Ad)

As already said above, the instt is in top five for CM course as under:
1. Jamia
2. MICA
3. IIMC
4. SIBM/NMIMS

no idea about simc's journo being in country's top instt. (however, it maybe eventhough i dont know). although, the placements of journo courses hav been rocking at simc.

i finished my bachelors in economics from loyola college in chennai.. symbi is de 1st coll n only coll i applied to... 4 lacs s a lotta money.. so i better get a job which s gonna help me pay off the loan as soon as possible.. so wher r u plannin to stay??? i wanna stay on campus... cos m not very familiar wit hindi... u ve any idea hw those rooms on campus r???

i'd like to differ here; MBA or PGDCM makes an iota of difference, while your overall learning, presentability, and work quality makes your call during placements.

moreover, i m concerned about simc's placements as noone's able to present the exact picture of placements. some say that you can expect a 20k salary frm Ad while some even quotes your luck within 8-10k pm.

hi, am planning to apply for SIMC 2006.
I am in my final year, doing my grads in sociology from calcutta.
I just need some guidelines for the preparations.
How important is wrk exp, cuz i have none .

And how are institutes like amity and other pvt ones in case i dont get through the best ones.

i really want to be prepared for the worst as well.
