I Gave IIMC 2005 , for both radio and TV journalism and English ... got thru both , got kicked in the PI for Radio and TV Jour. and got thru English Journ. but dropped the idea later ... The institute is great and the interaction that u ppl wud be getting with the ppl frm news channels is wonderful , i myself saw rajdeep sardesai when i was there for the PI

.. newayz the paper is kinda like MICAT with abbreviations and two marks questions for current events explanations like VAT and stuff... then u have the long answer questions which are both knowledge based like Indo chinese relations and political events , budget etc. and also general ones like your fav. TV ad or newspaper or TV programme , future of print media and stuff like that .read up on all the UN abbrivations though i distinctly remember getting four of those ...

also there are RC passages , the difficulty level is lower than CAT , but more like MICAT .... another thing , i wud not advise you to write long winding answers , i saw a lot of ppl doing that , i didnt ... finished the paper half an hour early and walked out ... The PI's are another story though , more on that after u guys get thru... for any clarification feel free to PM me ... I may even have the paper somewhere , but will have to look for it ...

Thanks a ton for the first hand info...it will help I'm sure..If you could find that paper...it would be really great..

I have applied for the Advertising and PR course..that's what I'm interested in. Can you tell me whether the paper differs for the different courses or is it a common one?

I did take the MICAT and am currently on the waitlist for MICA. So you suggest we read up on everything we can lay our hands on???
