hey am new to this thread and am so glad that smeone thot of this and started it cos all is of MBA!!!!!!

Any body any news bout how gud is the Univ of pune and yes one can pursue Mass comm after 12th Colleges like Amity and Xaviers ar providing courses in UG itself.. Also if not mistaken Mum Univ too

university of pune is pretty good. but the placements offered are not that great. the university brand name being good helps in the long run but to begin with placements are only average.

There are two departments in Pune Iniversity related to Communication...

Communication Studies

hii!! my brother has just given his 12th exams and is interested in doin mass comm..!! so cd any bdy suggest some of the insti's in and around delhii 4 it...like clgs 4m IP university and all..!!

2)Symbi
3)IIMC,Delhi
4)Xaviers,Mum
5)Univ of Pune..

There's also one in Manipal which i heard is gud too... there's Amity but its better not to take it cos it's run into trouble with courts and all so..

MICA offers a management diploma in communication..
Mass communication is different...

Also Symbiosis has two courses on communication..
0ne offered by SIMC and the other one offered by SIBM..
No idea about either... (me and symbi, don;t go together )

SIMC offers four different specialisations:

AD, or Advertising
AV, or AudioVisual Media
J, or Journalism
PR, or Public Relations.

Note the fact that these are PG Mgmt courses, not specific media related courses, but mgm courses in the media.


SIBM has the MBA Marcom specialisation. This is a proper MBA course in marketing & communication management. I have been admitted to the 2006 batch.
