Sorry for jumping into a XL thread, but it happened in the real XAT last year too... in the Bangalore center.
Its officially not allowed, but sometimes these people carry it to the final xam too.

In my centre last year in bangalore....they took away the paper of those who tried to go abck to previous sections....

during the GD/PI rounds,is there any preference given to someone whoz relative is frm XL??? one of mah freinds mentioned this to me dat they give marginal preference..is that true????

admit card says get a photo identity card. i have no problem with this. but one containing my signature?

next option is identity letter attested by princi??? will notarised officer do?

donno why this rumour is going arnd here...
i know of a girl whose father is a prof in xl n she didn't make it...
so it all boils down to how well u do at the interview...
personally i feel it's tougher if ur father/mother is a prof there ...
coz u've gottta over-prove urself...
they (the ad-com) would wanna be fair...
n they may go overborad to show that there r no nepotism rules as such

i just downloaded my admit card and it says w have diff set
of questions for all with same difficulty level.is it
true.xlrites please tell.
r they following the gre pattern
but same set of question can be easy for some
and difficult for other espectially in gk where either
u know or not.

MY ADMIT CARD SAYS:-
Instructions for the Exam
You should be in your assigned Test Center at least 15 minutes prior to the reporting time printed in this Admit Card.

You should bring the following to the Test Center:

Your Test Admit Card (printout of this).

Any photo identity card such as passport, driving license, an identity letter with photo and signature attested by your college Principal / Vice Principal.

Two Sharpened HB Pencil.

Please Note :

Calculators, electronic diaries, cell phones, beepers or any similar electronic equipment, cameras and any pieces of paper are not allowed in the Test Center.

All rough work should be done only on the margins of the test booklet. No other piece of paper is allowed.

Once the test starts, you will not be allowed to leave the Test Center / Hall for any reason till the test is over and all other formalities are completed. Please be prepared to remain in your seat till the exam is over. If you leave the Test Center / Hall, you will not be allowed to re-enter and it will be assumed that you have completed writing the test.

Candidates found violating the instructions of the test invigilator will be disqualified.

The official language of the test is English.

Each candidate is tested on different sets of questions that we believe to be of the same level of difficulty. You agree not to dispute this issue while the test is in progress and / or even after you have taken the test.

XAT 2005 exam also includes an essay test for about 20 minutes between 12:10 pm and 12:30 pm.
