hey buddy

btw XIMB & SIBM go for the former coz
me thinks that SIBM has not offered all the courses that it conducts for XAT..so before applyin u have to chk which courses have been affiliated....
methinks some courses it has reserved for SNAP
pls verify....

btw GIM & BIM .....BIM would be my pick

ciao

Hi MBACrazy
last year the average salary offered was 4.6 Lakh ,and the median salary was above 4 Lakh.......and coming to courses , XIMB is famous for its Marketing than anything else and it has got highest no.of Job offers last year, followed by Systems ...so if you have interests other than HR u can happily specialise in it .....for all the other info regarding XIMB u can post ur question in the below link

This is entirely subjective, but consider a few points:

(1)XLRI is a natural winner.
(2) Both XIM-B & SIBM are good second tier schools. Ditto for BIM-Trichy , though one doesn't see it too much on the rankings these days. All these three have decent placements.
(3) GIM & LIBA could be considered too. They have some trouble with placing the entire batch, but the top quartile gets placed in good companies & the second quartile gets placed in "passably good" companies. These two have some brand equity too.

Rest are for the really desperate ones...

As for information on GIM is concerned, i can vouch for the fact that we have decent placement(3.1 lakhs avg )without ctc, whereas most colleges include ctc.though its not gr8 its pretty decent.and yeah placement is 100%.i think GIM is very much worth appying if one is Writing XAT .

it is all about the perception!!!! - 03-12-2004, 06:42 PM

My dear friends.......

colleges do claim they r great n the sal packages r great. Portray the institutes r excellent by giving great designer prospectus...

But one thing every body shud consider before joining is

Is this college worth in giving the perfect launch pad for my future???

As a student of ximb lemme give you some facts about the batch profile.

around 40-45% r having good work exp. in all the leading companies From Tisco to infy, Accenture etc.

In freshers also people r from good backgrnd.

Though maximum r engineers still there is a rich mix of varied backgrnds in graduation.

The faculty is also one of the best in the country.

Infrastructure is well maintained and one of the most wired campus in the country.

So, it is u as a student who will decide.

Regarding other institutes u can get idea either from their students or from the coaching institute u r into

(in order of my preferances)

1. SIBM
2. XIM-B
3. BIM
4. GIM
5. Loyala
