Dr. Muktikanta Mishra, the Faculty Placement Coordinator for XIMB, described the placement process as a classical economic situation wherein the demand exceeded the supply. On account of the deluge of offers, a lot of companies had to go empty handed. The problem was of plenty, he quoted.
Safi Hashmy, Student Placement Coordinator, 2005-06, said that the credit goes to the concerted efforts of the Placement Committee and the students of XIMB. He also highlighted the role of XIMB alumni who are scaling new heights and have returned to their alma mater to recruit more for their quest for excellence.
Satya Jayapaul, ex-Student Placement Coordinator and the student with the highest offer (of Rs. 9 Lakhs per annum from Wipro Technologies, as software project manager) proclaimed, We have once again proved that brand XIMB and the quality of students and faculty at XIMB is par excellence.
Recruiters appreciated the smooth and professional management of the process and were highly impressed with the quality of the students.
Even companies that had come with multiple panels managed to get a steady stream of candidates for the interviews. They also felt that the quality of the students at XIMB was a notch above the rest due to the superior domain knowledge that they possessed. They were appreciative of the level of support that the faculty extended to the companies ensuring that the placement process was smooth and hassle free. | | | | | | | |

Talk about 'Locational Disadvantage'
With that kind of placement I'd rather be there than some institutes in Mumbai.
Cheers! | | | | | | | |

Hey itsdishain,
At XIMB, Are final placements affected by your age?Read somewhere in an old XL thread that the interview panel told a guy that they have a prob placing guys with more age....Now I'lll be 28 myself by the time of placements and 2 years work-exp. Does that work against me?
Also , Does it matter in the summer placements?Heard freshers are more preferred for summer placements than the work-ex guys.
How's it like in XIMB?
Thanks in advance.
