dont know if anyone asked this before but...
Hey seniors, it says here in the XIMB prospectus that twothirds seats are reserved for Oriyas.
How many seats does that leave us non-oriyas with? 40?
Plz let us know... Also, at what percentile can a fresher hope 4 a acall from XIMB in XAT 2005 according to you?

As far as I can say, the placements are not affected by the age. Neither finals nor summer placements are affected by this.
In fact, if age is taken as a psuedo variable for experience and maturity then it will act in your favour.
However, I must be added that just any work experience is not good enough. The quality of work is also very important.
But one thing that I can tell you is that it is very improbable that your work will work against you.
As far as that question in XL is concerned, it was most probably a trick question designed to test the temperament of the candidate. Its a very common tactic.. you can expect such questions in any decent interview.

Hey friendz on the forum...
will someone clear my doubts plz...i have applied to ximb... and hoping to get a call...but i havent ticked ximb on my xat registration form with the understanding that i can tick it anytime. But now the xat site is closed and cant tick the damn thing.
is it true that scores will not be made available to instiutes which we havent ticked in the xat form. Plz clear my doubts I m really worried...

As far as I know, the check boxes on the XAt site are not indicative of anything and are just for reference. So if you have applied to XIMB, then rest easy.
But then, this is just my view, so please wait until I get you the info from the authorities. I have mailed tham and expect a reply soon. will post that ASAP.

Just got official confirmation, its not a problem.
If you have applied to XIMB and have taken XAT, then you are considered for admission to XIMB.
SO ALL THE BEST TO ALL !!!
btw, how did you like the pics from the flowers on our campus. Those pics were taken by a student on a casual morning jog.
