what is the placement scenerio in SITM Pune? Can anyone from SITM or pune woul tell me?

Hi Folks

Last time i applied to SITM and got through GD/PI
I even attended class for few days and then left coz i got a gud job offer.

Infastructure wise the college is quite poor. It has only 4 small class rooms, small library and small auditorium. It is on 5th and 6th floor of a building. (Different colleges r at different floors). 3rd and 4th SICSR etc.

Placement wise college is Ok. Its placements are close to 100%.
Few gud companies have started coming in recent past but the pay package is not that high. Few lucky ones get above 4 lakh.

It has no hostel and area in the vicinity of college....not many are willing to rent their houses to students. Living conditions r not that gud in surrounding area.

It is a nice college for those who have interest and r planning to make their carrer in telecom domain.

Admissions are not that tough, 50% of the guys who get selected dont join the course...so waitlist goes quite down.

If u need any other info plz let me know, have few friends in that college and i myself am in pune only.

thaks amigo for the info. Very disheartening though Thought the course was good. I'm an engineer and so would love the field. Thay why I applied. Now am havin second thoughts.

Could u ask ur friends at the college abt the present condiditon, placements, facilities and accomodation. I'm very interested but dunno if this is worth the sacrifice.

anyway i woudnt mind joining it even it is just taught in two floor or anything like tht bcoz the bottom line is the course has gud future and avg salary i dnt know but i heard from a friend tht sym institutes r nice

i dnt know abt scmhrd but ya u may get thru siib and sitm keep sectional cut off in mind
