hi seniors
Am trying to get a clear picture of the college and so am going to ask few things...
1) First and foremost ..what is the cut-off marks last year and what is the range of marks that find themselves easy to sail thru
2) How much profile matters during giving a call and converting the same
3) How does institute judge the work experience of a guy who is working in IT field and comapare them with others, mainly commerce and other background are they(commerce one ) at some advantage as the course is structured in that manner..
4) What kind of profile the passouts were provided in general ( forget this year)

There is only one way for me ..... Fortunately that's Upward

Rahul

1) Since inception, SIIB has never disclosed the cutoff score, however sectional cutoff is required. Also, the cutoffs provided by coaching institutes and other MBA related websites can not be trusted. Cutoff depends upon the level of difficulty of SNAP test, hence quoting a figure would be difficult.

2) Profile does matter. Candidates with work experience definitely have an edge over freshers provided they prove their experience during the interview.

3) There is not set pattern of judging the work experience, be it any sector, IT, ITES, Manufacturing, BPO or any other. However, be ready to answer questions related to respective job profiles. It completely depends on the interview panel.

No body is at extra advantage, candidates with any background are treated at par.

4) Profiles are offered depending upon specialization one takes. I would suggest you to please refer to SIIB for details.

cheers

Ankita

The cutoff scores given by the websites and institutes are mere assumptions and based on the feedback given to them by their students. These score may or may not reflect the true cutoffs. Cutoffs combined with work experience and academic background decides your call at SIIB. So, I would suggest aspirants to work hard and get as much score as possible and not care about the cutoffs.
Getting selected in SIIB is altogether based on different lines including GD,PI, Group task, essay test etc.

Questions in the interview can be anything under the sun. One needs to prepare on current affairs, market conditions, and why one wants to do MBA, specifically from SIIB? What specialization and why? There are many things that can be asked in the interview and depends completely on interview panel. However, is not difficult to crack once they see your communication etiquettes and power of convincing while conveying the message.

All the best

hi ankita ..

As satyam had explained it correctly , cut-offs given by institutes are like exit poll surveys . My suggestion to you is to work hard to get good marks . You have decent work ex . and if combined with good score can give you ticket to siib interview list.

All the best .
