Abhishek

Once you are done with the DD, log on to SIIB website with your SNAP ID and email ID. Click on the "Payment Details" and type in the details like DD number, DD date, Bank name etc and click on "Confirm". And send it to SIIB at the address given. MAKE SURE TO MENTION YOUR NAME / SNAP ID / PROGRAMME AT THE BACK OF THE DD.

Keep checking the status on the same webpage by logging in every time, soon the status will change to "payment received"

I will soon post the different payment options and procedure here.

Thanks n ATB

Hi Seniors.. Could you please let us know about the placements at SIIB. I searched for the details in the website but couldnt get much info. What is the average package in SIIB?
Also with around 3 yrs of work ex in an MNC, is it worth applying to SIIB?
Kindly PM me, in case you feel it is not appropriate to discuss in this forum. Thanks in advance.

you have good marks in 10th and 12th standard. And your Engineering marks have made you eligible for SNAP and SIIB . So why worry!!!! Work hard for SNAP and try getting in....

Enjoy

hi,

would like to know if not having a first class in graduation(Engineering) is gonna effect your future prospects when it comes to final placements. My record at school was fine but slipped badly at college.I have over 2 years of relevent work-ex in an IT & Telecom company after passing out.My poor record in graduation(<60) is what scares me from pursuing an MBA as I feel it might effect my final placements.

Please advice seniors.

grad marks does matter!!! However, you have to cover it up by working hard in competitive exams and in interviews. (well, there is no other option, but to try!!) In order to get into a good B-School, leave behind the fear of failure and start finding out ways to get thru.

When it comes to placements, its the knowledge in your domain that matters most and companies' might look at your MBA grades (forget about grad marks).

"Marks might give an idea of level of knowledge, and not the abilities, of a person at a particular time, it has no relation with how successful one can be"
-- Prof S V Godbole, SIIB.

Chillax and all the best

Akhilesh

This is a question I would love to answer.
International Business(IB) as a course offers you a big set of domains with unlimited opportunities. However, IB alone is not offered to you at SIIB, it comes along with a specialization viz Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain and Human Resource. International Business being the base of your domain, you master your interest with not only domestic knowledge but also with international practices.

Example if you choose to take marketing at SIIB, you will be trained on fine tuned curriculum that any other good B-School may offer, along with which you will be taught International trends and practices of marketing. And no matter what specialization you choose, you will be a master at International Business as a specialization also, offering you a degree of MBA-IB, Marketing at the end of it.

This makes the program very rigorous but a preferred course for many industries.

While applying for SIIB, you will not be asked the specialization but the course you intend to apply (IB, AgriBusiness, Energy and Env.). You choose the specialization once you complete your first semester.

Thanks
ATB
