SIIB short lists candidates on profile basis. And all who get over the cutoff score are shortlisted irrespective of profiles/work ex.

Thanks

Respected seniors please explain it
"Against the backdrop of the global economic slowdown, SIIB managed to complete a very creditable placement process for the batch of 2009. Although the process got stretched much longer in duration as compared to the preceding years, the Institute provided placements to close to 90% of the eligible students of MBA – International Business and close to 85% of the eligible students of MBA – Agri Business"
above paragraph is copy of SIIB 07-09 placement satatics on SIIB portal (sorry if i voileted any rule of PG)
i just want to know what is the meaning of 90% or 85% of the ELEGIBLE STUDENT.
what it condition of eligibility ?

Hi Mohit

SIIB has a few eligibility criteria like 90 percent attendance at the end of 1st year and all backlogs cleared before appearing for any placement related activity.SIIB is very strict regarding this criteria and someone not fulfilling these criteria is debarred from placements.

Thank you very much for your valuable suggestion.
I have one more doubt.
As my 12th marks is below 60% and i m facing lots of problem in my BTECH right now because lots of company especially IT companies consider 60% or more throught .
So same condition is also in SIIB or not .
at what extent this 12th marks may creat problem.
Does all SIIB recuriter consider 12th marks too or PG performance????
senior please
happy diwali to all of you

Hi mohit,

Your 12th marks may be a point of concern depending on the recruiter. It is irrespective of SIIB or any other institute.
I would suggest to focus on your future and try overcome this negative remark on your CV by good performance at PG level or other achievements /extra curriculars...

Re: SIIB Admission 2010-12 Helpdesk - 16-10-2009, 01:14 PM

hi all.
i am applying for the institute through dd. i got the dd printed but there's a mistake . instead of taking the dd as " Director ,Symbiosis Institute of International Business " , i took the dd in favor of "Director ,SIIBl ".. . i want to know that is it okay if i send the dd as it is or i need to change it to exact name. ? (will my dd be excepted if i send it as it is)..

i know its ridiculous and absurd to ask such a question , but its necessary. i live in a very isolated place n i have to travel miles to reach nearest bank to get my work done.

Have you got the DD printed as "Director, SIIBl" or "Director, SIIB" ?, Please confirm.

Thanks.
