With the XAT 2010 notification coming out, I think the time is ripe to start this thread. This thread aims to cater to all the relevant queries of LIBA aspirants 2010.

As you all might be knowing LIBA or Loyola Institute of Business Administration is a part of the prestigious Loyola College, Chennai.

The cut-offs keep varying every year. also last year we had sectional cut-offs for the 1st time. 90+ overall with 85+ in all sections would be a safe bet.
The fees is 4 lakhs 4 thousand (tuition fees)

When are the LIBA forms gng to be out???no information is given in the website...

not so soon definitely.Its in the process.
Even then, XAT is in Jan. LIBA usually accepts forms till the end of Jan. So no worries regarding that!
Once the forms come out, we'll announce it on this thread.

hey thanks for opening the thread.. I wanna know few things:
1) How much work-ex matters in the GD-PI call and in final selection.
2) How much importance academics were given
3) Is the essay that we need to write during XAT is also considered there

i have one query that what is the cut off for liba ? second can one apply to liba after the xat results are out in jan'10 .. senoirs it would be niece to hear from u .......

@rahul dev:
-Work ex is important. 45% of the students of our batch in LIBA has work ex. BUt again it is not a determining factor.
-LIBA looks for minimum 60% throughout 10, 12 and UG. the interview questions will be regarding the basics of background. Like if u are a computer engineer, u are expected to tell properly the difference between C and C++.
-No the essay is not considered.

@ Rahul Dev : As Pritha already cleared, dont worry about your work-ex, just start preparing for XAT and regarding GD/PI, it will come later...so you get ample amount of time to prepare...clearing the cutoff of LIBA should be your primary focus...All the best!!
