See there is a weightage for 10% of the total evaluation that includes XAT score, Academics, Face to face evaluation. Now there is no disadvantage per se of being a fresher. We have a good number of freshers both in 1st year and second year. And regarding 10% weightage of work-ex , its not that if you have work-ex u will get 10%, it is based on what kind of experience one has, how good was he at his work, so if a person has work-ex but he is not able to justify how useful it has been he might not get a leverage. So dont worry abt you being a fresher. I am a fresher myself. Just concentrate on XAT right now and also start preparing for the face to face evaluation.

My problem is i got a job in software field but my background is ECE(electronics) so if i come to pi with software work exp will it be evaluated as it is not related to my core subject ? or should i devote my complete prep with out taking that job ? my actual problem i lack in technical knowledge on subjects i m very much interested in analyzing people so i wanna do mba in HR and i m really desparate to get admission in GIM this or the next year.plz do reply

In GIM, you can have 1 major and 1 minor as your specialisation. You can choose any combination....

Yeah. Thats right. Infact you are not even asked for a specialization as such. You have the freedom to choose electives/courses of your choice based on which your major/minor is decided.

Hi Annadr,

The last date for registration is 31st December 2009. No further registration will be allowed beyond this date.

Is there any sectional cut-off?
How the admission process goes, do they give more importance for past academics too..?
