The placement report for 2009 has been uploaded on the website www.gim.ac.in Companies from various sectors ranging from FMCG to IT have visited GIM this year.

The work on the new campus is going on in full swing. We have had a few students visitting the site. It will be up and running by the time the next batch starts off.

Hey Gaurav,
Your Acads seem to be decent enough but i think those mock scores are on the lower side for a GIM call.So gear up a bit on the XAT front coz thts the first hurdle.Last year the cut off was 93 as mentioned before.However i guess those being Mock scores , its bound to improve on the D-day provided u keep ur cool.
Regarding weightages,GIM always looks for overall perfomance and consistency in a candidate.Your XAT score will account for 50% of the final weightage, Work ex-10%,Face to Face Evaluation-30% and Acads-10%.

Hi puys,

i have a doubt.As mentioned in the Advertisement that eligibility criteria is ".....AICTE /AIU approved college...."(UGC approval is not there)..My college is neither AICTE approved nor the University comes under AIU.....but the University is recognized by UGC so our BTech degree is recognized by UGC only.

What shd i do??I shd fill the form or not?Plz help.

Has anyone applied through DD mode and got mail from GIM confirming the receipt of DD?
I sent the DD on 21 Oct 2009 through Speed Post which delivered it on 24Oct 2009. However, I have not got any mail from them till now.
I also mailed admissions@gim.ac.in, but they did not reply.
Am I the only one who is facing this issue?

No buddy...no one in my knowledge has received the confirmation yet....i sent the form within 10 days when the applications were out....

when i mailed admissions office, i got a reply fom them that they have received my form and payment has also been confirmed and they will send the prospectus by courier to me.......but, it has been around 20 days and i have not received any prospectus...

GIM office is showing laziness because all the forms which i have sent after it have been confirmed and all the respective colleges have sent the prospectus too...

Firstly i can understand ur anxiety to know more abt the college through the prospectus.However as said before GIM has filed for an increase in seats from 120 to 240 as they will be moving to a brand new state of art campus in Sanquelim, the approval from AICTE is still in progress.Hence there might be a slight delay in recieving the prospectus due to this reason.

Regarding confirmations,try and understand that GIM recieves over 13000 applications and it is not possible for a single person to sent mails every time a from has been recieved.However to obtain confirmation u can call up jenny maam and find out the reciept of ur application.

yea sir.... i understand that this might be the reason for the delay...

anyways, i have already got the mail regarding confirmation of my application from admissions office so its all cool at my end...and also, i know that generally, there is no extra thing in prospectus which is not mentioned on website..

.it was just due to some restlessness that i used the term 'laziness'..i should have avoided it as patience is also one of the requirements for being a good manager
