Lemme start by giving u guys a brief description of the admission process
The admission procedure as usual consists of the written exam, GD followed by PI..

The written exam consists of
50 Q-- Quant
50 Q-- CR/LR/DI
50 Q-- VA/RC
50 Q-- GK
Total of 200Q which have to be done in 2hrs..
The key to crack the entrance is speed. so work on tht
Rest there is a GD usually among groups of 10 to 12 and a Personal Interview

any specific book dat shud b followed for help regarding the exam pattern?

well the buks are the same fr any other entrance...quants -arun sharma, enlgish, di- the institute material is sufficient, the entrance isnt tht tough....the questions are quite easy...wat matters is speed...so work on it as much as u can...m sure u must be giving mocks, go fr online mocks also. SNAP, MAT and NMAT have a similar pattern as to MIB entrance.

it would be very kind of you if you can jst highlight the basic things like:

1. when wil d forms b out
2. wat is the fee as in form fee and the tution fee (of course if we get selected)
3. brief about the placement

apart from that...if anything else that you want 2 convey...may b d past paers if they are available wid u...

well the forms will be out in november....and deadlines will be by dec end...
the form fee is 500 fr MIB course and 800 for both MHROD and MIB course
Tution fee is as low as 25000/year
As far as placements are concerned, the entire batch of 09 has been placed with a decent package....avg has been around 6-6.5 lacs. now this is a fairly gud amt considering the market situation.
During the boom, the batch of 07 passed out with an average of 8 and highest of 11lacs

Since you cracked the paper this year , do you have any idea of what your accuracy was out of 200 Q's in terms of %.

Allright the written will not be too out of the way...and thx 4 telling about the same...but is their a lot of economics etc asked during the GD/PI etc??

well I attempted around 130-140 questions with around 85% accuracy

The GD/PI wont be completely out of the way...if u're an engineering student then u'll be asked questions from ur academic background...however u must have the basic knwledge regarding the economy as in inflation concept, exchange rates, recession or watever the talk of the town maybe at tht time...so basically keep reading business magazines and u'll crack the GD/PI

The GD here is a bit different,
The group is large, usually comprising of more than 12-15 people. After the topic is given out and the time to think is over, each person is individually asked to speak about the topic for a minute. The GD is thrown open after everyone has spoken.
Also, the interview largely depends on your background and primarily YOU.
The interview panel consists of the faculty and people from the industry.
Also, you might have a teacher in your panel having knowledge in your domain.For example, In my interview, a teacher from the DU computer science dept was in the panel.
