I dont think there is any general awareness section in FMS..seniors..correct me if iam wrong.

You are right. There hasnt been a GK/GA Section in the FMS entrance papers in the last few years. There might be a change this year, but no such confirmed news has come in.

I had a few doubts regarding FMS.....
1. Is there a hostel available in FMS, as im from Mumbai? and if yes, approximately whats the Fees?
2. is it mandatory to stay in hostels or can we get off-campus accomodation for ourselves?
3. around what score was 50%ile last year (Tentative idea based on memory would do. i dont need exact scores.)
4. do u have an idea of the calls:admissions ratio?

I know im asking a lot of questions, but PG is my only sahara for questions of this sort....

pattern may not change in case of FMS. as it changes in cat as the DU people are not interested in giving shock to its aspirants..

same 175 Q 120 min.. no change this year too.

answers :
1) yes hostel facility along other DU students available, i dont know about fees.

2) it is not mandatory, you can outside also, infact there are very few seats in hostel reserved for FMS. so not all students can be accomadated in them.

3) over all 230/700 to get a call individual section as follows:
QA : 38/196
RA : 39/196
RC : 12/140
EU : 21/168

these are only 50%le scores.. please also Faculty of Management Studies for complete results of fms2009

4)call to admission ratio :: 1:7
i.e. for every seat they will call seven students for next round.

Yes,they matter most of the times...FMS may or maynot have given a breakup of the weightage of past acads,but these play a crucial role in the final selections,as per what goes in the mind of the interviewer(if it is in sync with general conceptions).
