chk out the link for rankings in xat by pagalguy....

PaGaLGuY.com B-school Rankings - Exam wise Rankings

these are more or less the best rankings you can find.....
as most of the other ranking data is fudged.

P.S.: before believing in any of the rankings check out the college's website for placements, infrastructure, faculties etc....

Yes, you need to apply to XLRI separately.
Applying for XAT only ensures that you are registered to take the test, not that you have applied for XLRI. In order to apply for XLRI, you have to buy the XLRI form and apply separately.

Re: XAT and XLRI[2010-2012]-Official thread for queries - 04-11-2009, 05:28 PM

Hi,

Work-ex query.

I have worked in 3 companies . I left the last one in June. total 48 months. 26 months (till june) + 10 months + 12 months (in reverse chronological order)
In the form there is space for only 3 and one of them is current job ex whose upper limit refuses to budge from dec 2009!

If I include my 3rd job in the current job then my experience looks inflated. Because it is adamant on counting exp till December 2009 !! and if I don't then i dont have space to fill up my first job experience. and in that case i am losing 12 months (duration of my first job).

Can anybody from XLRI please suggest how to go about it? I cant understand the logic of limiting it to 3. Cant someone have more than 3 stints in his career? or is it mandatory that one has to be currently involved in a job to apply for XAT?

Re: XLRI/XAT 2010 - Official Thread for Queries - 04-11-2009, 05:53 PM

Hi ppl,

I have a question abt xlri admission.

For Xlri, we ned to send the graduation certifacte/marksheets. does this mean we need to send both? I've completed my graduation. But Anna university(Tamil nadu) graduation certificate does not have the details about the marks. And sending all the 8 sem marksheets in the envelope given by the institute is out of question.

There would be many of u who have applied already. Throw some light on what you ppl did.

TIA,
Bala.C.N

Happy prep

Apart from the top institutes like XLRI, XIMB, SPJain, Wellinkars and others, do other B Schools also need their so called application forms to be filled in to get a call from them or not. I am basically talking abt institues like XISS, Dalmia institute, IFM, GIFT etc.

It would be best if you call up the Admissions office for this query. I would have helped, but I had no work ex, so I had absolutely no problem of this kind.

Do you not have an accumulated marks memo? Most institutes do give out accumulated marks memo at the end of the study period.
Anyway, you do need to send some kind of proof about your aggregate marks. Generally, most colleges have either a final marks memo with the aggregate of all four years, or they have the aggregate marks or something.

As far as I know, all colleges have their own forms and procedures. Some just offer forms before XAT, and others after. It would be prudent to check out each institute's website for data.
