Hey there sandeep,
i got some JMET papers from the time office when i gave it in 2003. Dont bother too much bout the paper...prepare for CAT and that shud do. Watch out for the Math part though...its mind bogglingly tough, but remember the fact that there are no sectional cutoffs. All the best,
Regards,

Also to add in
JMET has not followed any fixed pattern because till 2002 it was a 5 section paper while last yr it was only 4 section paper where std of maths was higher exponentially over the last yr!!

Guys iit madras has come with the pattern of jmet 2005. The details are as follows:
Guidelines for JMET-2005
Test Structure : The JMET-2005 will be of 2 hours duration. The test will consist of 150 questions (objective / multiple choice type) in the following sections:
1)Reading comprehension
2)Logical reasoning
3)Quantitative ability
4)Data interpretation ability
5)General business environment awareness
There is negative marking for incorrect answers. For a wrong answer to a question, 25% of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.

That's why often people with very high ranks in JMET don't get through IITB. Rarely is the question asked - Is our children learning?

| apart from iit ,IISc bangalore also accepts jmet score....
also from my experience...interview at kanpur is very very very technical ( seemed like an Mtech interview)..at kgp it is mixed....and at delhi it is generally non acad, if at all academic its generally very basic from yr favourite subject... Please, Lord, let me prove that winning the lottery won't spoil me.

Hmmm guys,
Just my observations here...I applied only to IIT-Bombay and here are the experiences-
Weightage: Everything has weightage. Your rank, your GD,your PI,your SOP(very important) and so on....I can confirm this for you guys because i remember when i was leaving the room after my interview,i saw the evaluation sheets on the table on which they had tables for each section with different weightages. Dont try to figure which has more weightage cos u can never know that.
I thought i got admission into the institute because of my rank (6) but later on i got to know from the seniors there that there were ranks better than mine who didnt make it. So,in a way, ranks do matter and they dont matter. Just give ur best shot in each round.
Interview : Purely the panels decision. We had three panels on the day of my interview. One panel was totally into technical. The others were not so particular about tech. There were some panelists who were very inquisitive about your projects. So,here again you cant really say anything bout it. But take it for granted, that since ur going to an IIT interview, and all ur competition is from engineers, u better have ur tech stuff right.
As for ranking, IIT-Bombay wins hands down. Although Kgp is catching up. The reason why Bombay is so ahead of others is, its got the IIT-B tag attached, its in Bombay, and its placements are pretty good. Hope that helps,
Regards,
