I understand there are approx 120-180 seats available (3 batches 40-60 seats each) ..but i could be wrong. Any idea how many batches were scheduled in a day? We already know of two batches one at 9.00 am and other at 1.00 . Did they GD & PI batch at 4 PM as well ?.. there were 60 students in each batch presuming per day three batches were scheduled I would say that brings the count to 180 per day.. therefore approx 540 students in all got selected for GP & PI. so I would say 2 out of every three would get eliminated.

Hi,
Thanks for ur reply dshah1. My GD/PI batch on 5th @ 1pm was the last. We were seated in 2 seperate rooms with each room handling 4 groups of 10 each. So that brings da count of my GD/PI batch to 80 and considering 2 batches each day on 4th & 5th we can expect round about 320 call letters for GD/PI. Correct me if am wrong?
U got any about the course? Its value and its acceptance in market?
Regards,
Mayuri.

I am sure they had GD &PI till 6th. However I don't know if any batches were actually scheduled on 6th. Any ways my friends who have done this course tell me .. you have to be very dumb not to clear admission proc.
btw to answer your 2 q about if the course is recognized ..I did some pretty thorough analysis and this is what you should expect from the course
1. Don’t compare it with full time 2 yr MBA or fulltime 1 yr executive MBA.. none of the part time, remote/distance learning , weekend courses including the certificate course from IIM’s have as much value as full time MBAs
2. As compared to Part time MBA this e-mba provides a post graduate diploma ..were as Part time MBA is Masters.. difference in terms of industry is not much; but if you plan to do PHD later on this course won’t make you eligible. At same time this is Post Graduate diploma (better) as compared to certificate awarded by similar IIM course
3. Course contents of this are similar to SP jains executive MBA or many of other General MBA.. keeping in mind current industry requirements. They touch up on most of the subjects.. so course content is good.
4. Faculty is good, including visiting lectures are some of the best in the industry. So is name of college. NMIMS has some standing in job market as compared to other colleges like somaiya, welignkars etc.
5. If you are hoping this will get you a job as soon as you complete with 50% hike chances of that happening are very slim
6. If you wish to change your LOB, say move from IT to finance chances of this happening are very slim
7. As per my talks with one of the lectures, this will definitely provide you knowledge to move forward in your job.. once you do that you can start looking for job in different company.. so idea is get a promotion from Manger to VP in ur own company and then look outside
8. This course will provide you with opportunity to interact with people from different industries , who are mangers and will likely move up..i.e. help you develop contacts
9. The lecture I spoke to mentioned Dr. Reddys, Goldman sachs and some other company has sponsored 30 students each for this course. They have batch dedicated for their students In short this is recognized by industry
I will conclude.. this course will/may not help you immediately to get a job with substantial hike or move to different domain immediately. But it will provide you with knowledge to help you compete better and get promotion in your current Job. It will also enable you to get interview calls to Job which require management degree however you will have to prove yourself in interview to get selected. Just doing this course won’t guaranty your selection
Hope this helps

Hi,
This is utmost informative. I too did some research and found da same. As for me, i dont want 2 use this course as a ladder 2 shift jobs [m already pretty good at it ;-)].
I needed this or alike course to climb up da ladder in my company...somthing which establishes me better in da role m currently performing without any formal knowledge.
As for getting selected...lets see...my interview wasnt good so cant comment.
Jus one more clarification...on their site dey mentioned dat this course is approved by AICTCE...so it means we get a PGD...rite? Also, on thier site dey hav mentioned specialization subject to certain conditions but not mentioned the subjs of it....any idea whether they do offer specialization or no???
Regards,
Mayuri.
