just to share my perspective..(i've mentioned something similar in other posts)
As mentioned by others, sectoral programs may tend to limit opportunities after completion of the program in terms of job openings..a Banking program would obviously lead towards a career in a Bank/Services Sector/Consultancy in the start.
I have come across a lot of people who just go be face value of what the program is called..for eg, many people have said MBA(Actuarial Sc.) is too niche a course, since it would be too finance oriented where one works only with numbers all along - thats coz not many have heard of marketing actuaries and associated profiles.
What im trying to say is that evaluations of the program have to be comprehensive..dont just go by what a bunch of people say, do your own homework. Look at the kind of profiles seniors in the batch have been offered..look at where people who've done the program four or five years ago have landed up, where they work and the kind of money they make.

Now coming back to the Banking program..as i've mentioned above, at the begining one would tend to end up in a Bank/Consultancy/Services Sector..but two, three or four years down the line, the MBA one has graduated in does not limit opportunities at work.

Finally, i believe i've elaborated sufficiently on sectoral programs and what opens up thereafter..so make the right choice!
