every student who applies will get a call.My nmat score is 62 and have work ex of 34 in HDFC Bank selling mutual funds and insurance,will
tht work ex be heplful over here and what was the cut off for capital

Full Time MBA (Sectoral) Programme
Capital Market & Actuarial Science (Batch 2009 -11)

1. Introduction
This booklet gives information about the Admission Procedure of specialized M.B.A. Programmes of NMIMS University for academic Year 2009-2011.
The NMIMS offers specialized MBA Programmes in the following disciplines:

1. MBA in Actuarial Science
2. MBA in Capital Markets

Candidates can apply for either or both the programmes simultaneously.
2. Eligibility Criteria :
Admission will be based on the following criteria :

Candidates who had attended NMAT-2008 held on 28th December, 2008 (including FTMBA-GD/PI candidates) are ONLY eligible for Group Discussion /Personal Interview for both the programmes.

Applicants who have not appeared for NMAT test will not be considered.

• 2.1 Candidates who have not cleared the 10+2+3 exam in the first attempt are NOT eligible to apply for the admission to the courses. Further, those candidates who have passed the 10+2+3 exam by doing a part-time course or through distance learning/correspondence/externally/open school are not eligible to apply for the courses.
  2.2 Candidates appearing for their final 10+2+3 examination can also apply but their admission to the courses will be subject to criterion 2.1 above, obtaining the required minimum cut off marks and also producing all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.
  2.3 Those candidates who have passed, or, are appeared for 10+2+3 examination from a University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA obtained.
  2.4 It is sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification for the admission to the courses at NMIMS.
  2.5 The NMIMS University reserves the right to alter the terms of eligibility without intimation to the applicants.
  

MBA Actuarial Science
Candidates should have attained any of the following Educational Standards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate at graduation/post graduation degree level examination.

1. Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in Statistics / Mathematics / Engineering/Economics/Computer Science/Allied Sciences with minimum 50% marks in Aggregate. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred.
2. Graduate or Post Graduate with Mathematical subjects. For this purpose following subjects constitute mathematical subjects :
   • Mathematics or any of its branches
   • Statistics or any of its sub classification such as Mathematical Statistics and Applied Statistics
   • Economics
   • Computer Science
   • Any discipline of Engineering
   • Subject in Science such as Physics or its allied branches
3. Candidate with graduation/ post graduation from other disciplines should have passed 10+2 (H.S.C.) or equivalent with at least 85% in Mathematics / Statistics.
4. Fully qualified members of following professional bodies are also eligible.
   The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
   The Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India (ICWAI)

MBA Capital Market
Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred.
3. Admission for above mentioned programmes is through Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

3.1 Eligible candidate has to register online on the website www.nmims.edu by paying a fee of Rs. 950/- nonrefundable, by Demand Draft draw in favour of SVKM’s NMIMS payable at Mumbai. Demand Draft should reach within the given stipulated time. Separate fee has to be paid for each programme.
Candidates registered online have to forward their Demand Draft to :

3.2 All those who registered successfully and qualify the eligibility criteria will be called for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to check the eligibility criteria. Candidates have to appear for GD/PI separately for both the programmes.
Note : GD/Personal Interview will be conducted in Mumbai only.
On the basis of information indicted in the online Application Form, call letter will be available on the website. You are required to download the call letter from our website www.nmims.edu. No candidate, without call letter will be permitted to appear for GD/PI.
3.3 The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of NMAT Score, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and work experience marks.
(Note : 15% seats are reserved for Management Quota in each course out of total intake)
3.4 The selection criteria will be based on merit. The cut-off for deciding the merit shall lie solely with NMIMS University. Separate merit list will be prepared for Capital Market and Actuarial Science. The decision of the NMIMS University will be final and undisputable and shall be binding on all concerned.
3.5 If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her in the application form is incorrect, his/her application for admission to the course, even if selected, will stand cancelled.
3.6 Canvassing in any form for admission will disqualify the candidate.
3.7 All matters of dispute will be subject to the legal jurisdiction of Mumbai only.
3.8 Candidates are advised to visit the NMIMS website www.nmims.edu to know the details of various steps of selection process.
3.9 NMIMS will not be responsible for non-receipt of dispatches sent through postal authorities or courier. NMIMS will not be responsible for postal delay or non-delivery of mail.
