Among all the colleges you mentioned SIMS is the best.
SIMS is ranked much above all of them.

SITM Results out. -
18-03-2009, 11:16 PM
SITM result is out, and few of us are selected there too.
Now, few would be muzzled. I have met seniors of both colleges, found the statics for last three years placements, browsed PG throughly SIMS has better ROI, infrastructure and quality of students. SIMS students are disciplined, enthusiastic and responsible. More over SIMS has its independent, self sufficient campus unlike SITM. Join SITM... if, You have graduated with electronics and telecom engineering degree and want to limit your MBA in telecom field (PGTDM only).
Those who are in waiting list and eager to join, dont worry you will get a chance. According to the past records, only 1/3 of the students in merit list opt for SITM. So keep your finger crossed.
Me??... although I am a telecom engineer with 2+ years work exp, I dont feel like joining SITM and will always prefer SIMS.
Regards
Vikas

Congrats Kartik!!
The call letter is sent through email. I received it on 16th Mar, few got it earlier, few later. If you have not received it, dont worry!! You can have a look at it in a post on page 10 of this forum. Same letter you should be receiving in few days now.
So... Happy now...?? .

Hi Devesh,
As far as placements are concerned, all telecom companies go the A grade colleges first, for their placements. Reputation of college is very important.
People from NITs and other reputed college were placed in high profile IT jobs, even if they were non-IT graduates. On the other hand people who did computer engg just for the sake of boom time found hard time to find job.
Point is Quality and reputation of colleges matter more in MBA than any other things.
Even Arun Sarin (CEO of a telecom comapny), IIT graduate, started his career as a environmental analyst for a Washington, D.C., consulting firm.
In this volatile economic situation you cant predict anything. Doing a telecom MBA will be pushing yourself in the corner.
Anyways, you have time till 9th of April, make up your mind, browse the pagalguy and find yourself, if the college is for you.
Regards
Vikas

We asked the same question during our interview. They told, placement were undergoing and it was just above 50% then. During this recession time this number is quite respectable and is expected to rise.
But friends, i am not be worried about the slump in placements. Its part of the game. But are you ready for the next BOOM?
Here, I would like to quote Abraham Lincoln's words, "I would study and prepare myself... My chance will come!!".
Regards to the human courage!!
