isnt there a gd conducted this year??? that means there can be more weightage to xat scores and pi's.

I dont think so...they are probably giving the marks allotted for GD to essay writing that has been implemented this year.

they have already mentioned that they are giving XAT score higher value.. 50%.. 10% work ex.. 10% acads..and 30% to the pi and essay.. so ppl with higher xat score have an advantage.. but its in the range of 1-2 marks only(div the percentile by 2 and since the calls are btw 93 and above os dat doesnt make a big diff) PI still is the clincher

The important point of the stimulus package which could be touched upon was the fact that the companies receiving the stimulus package must source materials from us companies for their us projects

no buddy i think it is not like that. i hv heard that b-schools use a different strategy for mark distribution. it is like that for ex: gim has 93% as cutoffs so they give a predefined weightage to this lowest score out of 50(let us assume 15 marks):detective:. 35 marks are left for 7%(5marks for each percentile) then for each percentile there will be an increase of 5 marks(for 98% the marks will be 40):detective:. 50 out a 50 given to 100%tiler.

ya right lohit. eventhough i am not aware whether gim follows this method, but surely this method makes some logical sense. because dividing the xat score by 2 is going to be useless. if it had to be divided by 2 and included, they would have rather put the whole 100% to gd, pi, acads and work ex
