I had written MICAT at delhi center at Hindu College. Hmm paper was interesting as colour codes are there and strict time limits are there, so all set for a different expirience .

Psychometric section was good but A2 was spoil sport , and it created lot of confusion. They only gave 5 minutes extra for the confusion.

GK section was a pleasant surprise and questions are pretty workable.
word association section was as usual, and english section is also in similar guidelines of CAT.

Quants and DI was a waste section as per my opinion.

The Essay writing section was a pretty good climax to the paper. First essay was very contemporary in the nature, and the picture essay was also good. I goofed in the 2nd essay, not able to articulate thoughts due to the time pressure. Only filled 5-6 lines in the second page, so essays could prove to be achilles heel as i heard that Psychometric and essay are given more weightage in MICA.

heyy puyss i wrote the Micat, which i think could have been a much more better experience had the psychometric errors not been there...
my mind was saturated during that section too such an extent that i used the same set of numbers to mark all the answers...i jst built an order of my priorities and used the same numbers fr all the answers...couldnt help it..:confused:
the time fr the essays was also too short....could barely gt my act togther wen they started collecting the papers...hardly wrote 10 lines in the second essay....
gk and negative marking was a pleasant surprise.....quant/di was too simple....word association was tougher than last years papers...

RTI - 2002 or 2005??

the general rti for India was in 2005, but the first instance of RTI was in Maharashtra in 2002...

they did not specify which 1 they were asking for.. marked 2002..

Is Prof Deval answering queries on this thread as well ? MICAT din go too well .... was flummoxed by the word associations section ! is MICAT the only criterion for GD/PI ? am hoping not ! any idea abt weightages forr different factors for GD/PI selection ?

Remember the picture for the second essay? The person with the spectacles on? Now, was it a male or a female? I figured it was a guy with Amol Palekar hairdo, but my friend was adamant both persons were female !......
Especially relevant to me as I wrote a love story !!!

Messed up A2.Not even sure if I have attempted all questions in A. Other sections were pretty good. Very happy with my essays.Lets keep our fingers crossed till 3rd.

A comparitively fair MICAT. Did the A2 section within the given time itself by marking the values 15,05,04,03,02 and 01.
MICA is a place where people need to think out of the box.
They might have designed the OMR sheet in that manner just for that purpose. In such a case only feasible option is by marking 15,05,04,03,02 and 01. They might have not thought of students questioning that section.
According to me, they should give some weightage to those who wrote 15,05,04,03,02 and 01

And regarding the first two Qn in quants, is there a proper soln?
it was regarding two graphs of two channels.
I cudnt make out anything from that.
I was able to finish all the sections in time, including the last story
