GD/PI (date & time):20/2(morning)
GD Topic: 1. Yes, we can!
2. Newspapers are becoming redundant now!
GD Details:
chose topic 2 by show of hans(as no consensus was coming)
Then got 2 minutes to think..and total 18 minutes of gd...
GD was complete mess....fish market would be a mild term to put it...
2 ppl were constantly speaking...without stopping at all...
and if some 3rd person would speak...we would not be able to figure out
who is speaking what!! and those 2 people spoke parallely at length for 18 minutes:confused:...
figure this happening in gd:(moi-me)
incident-1
moi: since we have high %of people that are uneducated, tv news channels and radio can reach to masses in india in better manner..
one of the 'legendary' two: so what! they'll read regional newspapers!
moi::eyepop:..no! they are uneducated!
she: why you think regional newspapers are 2 nd grade...:confused:...and she went on to describe regional newspapers for next 3-4 mins!!!
incident-2
one of the persons chipped in: guys we are having a fish market situation..lets listen to each other's points...
oter guy: no i want to speak...plz dun interrupt...:eyepop:
and again both went on speaking....

it was a complete mess....still i chipped in with 4-5 good points....
omg...what a group!


PI experience:
ppl conducting the interview(don't know if they were faculty were cool)..most of interview went in hindi..i'll narrate interview as it is...
P1,P2- two interviewers...P2 talked mostly in hindi

P2- oh you're from sarvodaya nagar, kanpur!! Baba bhootnath mandir jaante ho?
moi:yes sir..now there is a flyover there...(koi aur landmark nahin mila:eyepop: )
P2- oh you're from jk school! archana ma'am ko jaante ho...english padhati hain wahan par?
moi-(ye kya ho raha hai:eyepop...sir sahi se yaad nahin...ek dhundhli si image aa rahi hai dimag mein
P2- acha tumne eng daiict se kari hai?
moi:yes sir( praying - no acads plz)
P2- acha what are you doing in infy?
moi: sir i left in december...my job responsibilities were blah blah...
P2- so what are you doing now days
moi: some gyaan
P2- to P1 who was reading my SOP
P1- ye batao tum mba kyon karna chahte ho?
moi: explained in hindi...
P1- what happened in satyam?
moi:explained
P1- what were the causes?
moi: i started with role of governors(cutting me down and came to next q's...i was about to say failure of corporate governance..i think he was looking for that only...shud hv said it as 1st point)
P1- what are your hobbies?
moi: reading calvin and hobbes...reading japanese comics(manga)
P1- why japanese comics?
moi: guaan
P1- what do you do in leisure time?
moi:(how is it different from hobbies?) again same ans...added sending quality time with my friends this time...
P1- who presents the budget?
moi:(ye koi trick q's hai kya?) FM
P1- who presented this time?
moi:(kya naam tha! what's happening? thinking hard)...sir PM who is currently FM was ill...so someone else presented...trying to think the name...
P2- are tum Pranab dada ko bhool gaye?
moi:(kya yaar!) oh...sorry sir(smiling idiotically)
P1,P2- Thanks for coming...

not a great interview! and gd was hell! (though i was not a part of mess...i hope panel will consider that)

And what is this GD/PI application Form as they have specified in the call letter?

All the details are given in the Call letter. Please check it carefully and in case you still have doubts post on the relevant thread. This thread is meant just to discuss GD/PI experience.
