Goa institute of Management presents WIZBIZ 2009

A national level Corporate Quiz organised by MECCA, the Marketing Club of the Institute.
Its a battle fought, not with swords but with grey cells, where the ammo is not bullets, but your wits and the only thing that can save you is split second application of common sense to the most uncommon bouncers from the quizmaster
WIZBIZ 2009 is the 9th edition of this legacy event which sees corporate executives from far and wide come together to battle it out in a fight to the finish.
The quiz will comprise of teams participating in a written elimination round from which 6 teams will qualify to have a go at the grand prize in the final rounds.
The legacy event, essentially a hardcore business quiz, is also a platform of interaction between the students of the institute and the corporate world. So it will also feature an amateur GIM student team, selected from among the finest quiz aficionados from the institute. The young guns have given the veterans of the corporate world a real run for their money every time in the past, always qualifying for the final round and even winning the Quiz in 2006.
WIZBIZ 2009 is as big as it gets.

The Quiz-Master for WizBiz 2009 is Mr. Avinash Mudaliar. He is the founder of RV Quiz Corp., India’s biggest quizzing club. He was also the founder and Editor in Chief of in.com, Web 18 Software Services Ltd, A NETWORK 18 Group Venture. He served as Cluster Programming Head, Radio Mirchi-South India region before joining Web 18. Currently, he is the creative and content head- Times Internet Group.

W I Z B I Z -- 2009 is that ultimate battleground where the finest minds of the corporate world will slug it out to stamp their superiority.

Organised by the Goa Institute of Management, WIZBIZ 2009 is all set to set The International Centre Goa, Dona Paula ablaze on 28th Feb, 2009.

Teams of two, comprising of some of the smartest corporate executives from Goa and elsewhere will converge on the venue to face the stumpers posed by renowned quizmaster Mr Avinash Mudaliar.

Apart from the usual bragging rights, At stake will be some really attractive prizes which will make winning a memorable experience.

It is going to be one hell of an evening. While the nippy sea breeze will keep everyone cool, the quizmasters bouncers will send the participants hot under the collar. Only the smartest will survive this streetfight of the corporate jungle.

This war of wits will be followed by a sumptuous dinner preceded by heady cocktails sponsored by our beverage sponsors Whyte and Mackay.

Organising this mega event has been a really fine experience for all the volunteers here at GIM. Getting the sponsors, logistics, cramming studies and work in an already packed schedule, it has been one hell of an experience.
The moment of truth has now arrived.

The entire student community at GIM is pulling its weight to make this event a succes. By the grace of god we hope to pull it off and put up a grand show like GIM has been doing for the last 8 years.
